Few days ago I receive one of these simple usb-rs-232 converters for pcb integration: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180532641086 I do like to play with small microchip PICs from time to time

I would like to know if there is a plugin to set toggles or buttons via rs-232 messages, something like this:

data sent from small PIC microcontroller via rs232 small text messages:

"1000=1" <- set led 1000 to on
"1000=0" <- set led 1000 to off
"1000=2" <- change status

same for oem triggers

During most part of 2010 we've been selling CNC machines with win7-32bits to our customers, no problems reported to date, no special setups. Only thing to remember if you install it on a non shared location you will have to give permissions to the user, or run the program with admin privileges (the easiest way)

Klaus, Im testing your plugin under win 7 and Im only able to open the crosshair screen, no video feed. Mach default video works ok.
To be able to see the crosshair I need to start the mach default video plugin first, otherwise camera is not detected by your plugin with a "No Camera Found" error messagebox

Is there something I can test?

my Setup:
what version of Mach3 are using 3.042.029
what is your processor speed intel quad core i5
how much RAM do you have 4gb
what display adapter  nvidia 9500gt
and how much Video-RAM are you using 512mb
Windows 7 ultimate

In windows 7, one thing that needs to be addressed if you want to avoid running mach3 in administrator mode is the destination folder/filename for the wizards, I cannot edit them after being generated.

I just installed Mach3 using W7, followed the vista instructions, when I ran drivertest.exe as admin and let it run it crashed with a BSOD, but when the computer restarted ran it again and everything worked fine, configured Mach3 and the router worked just fine.

I tought it would be harder, but it was business as usual.

Newfangled Solutions Mach3 Wizards / Metric setting leaves little space for values

I have installed version 2.79 wizards from latest mach3 stable release. My machine is configured for millimeters.

for us metric people, 4 zeroes after the decimal point is too much, leaves little space for the integer part of the numbers and the +/- sign, it would be nice to have more space for large metric numbers

Here you can find a free gear generator: http://woodgears.ca/gear_cutting/template.html it outputs HPGL code, but I found that coreldraw have an import filter for it BUT, its not in the default install, so you have to select it at install time.
