LazyCam (Beta) / Re: LazyCam Manual
« on: August 21, 2008, 09:13:29 AM »
Yeah, I know it's beta, but since there's a "Pro" version out how much "worked on more" is needed before something hit's the streets?   ;D

I'd think those that have paid for the "Pro" version would at least have a later, more updated video of how the new features are supposed to work.

And "No", I'm not complaining so please don't take it as such. Just asking questions!   ;D

Any update on when a manual for LazyCam will be available? I watched the two videos, but they're a little outdated.

Thanks,

LazyCam (Beta) / Need help with entity - Weird problem
« on: August 21, 2008, 12:01:12 AM »
I have an engraving file that I want to be able to change how the order of entities is being cut. Not chain, but entities within the chain. For example, I have the letter "C".  I have a straight section between the curves at the top and bottom. What's happening is that LazyCam is selecting the straight entity first, then one of the curves, then the last curve. I would think I could change that order and make the it cut in one complete pass. As it is now, the bit has to raise up and move to the other entities afterward slowing production down.

Also when I select any single entity and see the arrow, I try to move the arrow around to either change the direction of cut. The annoying problem is that I can't seem to let go of the moving rapid line. Even the arrow disappears, but when I move the mouse, the rapids move around as well.  I've tried hitting the "Esc" button, etc. to no avail. I read somewhere that double-clicking the arrow's white/yellow center is supposed to allow you to change some properties. Sometimes it works and sometimes it resets the viewing window.

It's not related to any single file. It happens on all my files.

Any ideas?

General Mach Discussion / Re: Output Pin Problem
« on: July 28, 2008, 08:48:09 PM »
Have you tried a different cable?
No, but I will.

Checked the cable out with a continuity check. Each pin checks okay.
Checked the port on the board as well. Checks out okay from pin-holes to the soldered points on the board.
Tried moving the cable and the RS-232 on the board. Everything is rock solid.

Still can't get pin 1 to light up, nor 16.

I want to use the relay on Pin 1 to turn the spindle control on, the relay on Pin 16 to set the direction and the 0-10v on pin 14 to control the speed. I have the same desire.

I am also having identical problems.

-   Are the LEDs for pins 1, 16, and 17 on the board lighting?
No

-   What about the LEDs in the diagnostics screen in mach3?
Yes

-   Have you tried a different cable?
No, but I will.

Did you ever get it resolved?  I'm still waiting on another C11 board from Arturo, but I believe he's away for a few days.

Program Run=keyboard shortcut-Alt-1, etc., etc.

Look at the screen its the tabs at the top of the pages

Okay, well at least someone got a laugh out of it!  :) ;D

Anyway....  I guess I went into "Over-Geek" mode because holding down the alt key and pressing a sequence of numbers generates different symbols.
For example, Alt+167 yields the degree symbol, like such: º

Knowing that sent me off into the zone of misunderstanding... I'd never heard of Alt-1234557 doing anything!  Notice, I used the minus symbol.  Now that really struck me odd.  How the heck can you hold down the Alt key and take away numbers. (Message to self:  ::)  duh! )

Brain fart....

must........get...............some..........................res.....t...............zzzzzzzzzzzz

LOL!

LazyCam (Beta) / Re: Confused about LCAM versions
« on: March 26, 2007, 08:55:22 PM »
What you stated is mostly true, For latest ver of LazyCam D-load Mach3R2.00.060 or latest Ver above under Downloads, "Mach releases".

Okay, now my head's starting to hurt....

I downloaded the latest Mach3 2.00.060 (which I thougt was supposed to have the latest LCAM) and installed it only to find an LCAM version of 2.00.060 (yep, same number as Mach3).

The file LazyCam.exe (v 2.00.060) has a file size of 4,244 kb and contains multiple options (including grayed out LcamPro)
The file LazyCam.exe (v 2.66) has a filesize of 2,284 kb but also has fewer options. (not even sure now where/when I got that version).

That being said, it appears that the version 2.00.060 is the latest regardless of the version numbers!

Is this correct?

LazyCam (Beta) / Re: LCAM V.2.66 download
« on: March 26, 2007, 04:49:55 PM »
So where do I get the lastest version of LCAM? Do I need to download Mach3's latest version and find it there?  The version on the donwload page says it was issued March 14, 2007 but I don't think it's version 2.66.

I'll have to check it when I get back home.

Do you have any idea when the server will be back up and running?  I must have missed it in a previous post, sorry.
