Good to hear from you today Hood!   It's like a breath of fresh air hearing the voice of hard-earned experience & knowledge. ;D

Would it be something you would want ???  And yes it appears it CAN be done in Mach3.
Who wouldn't want the Holy Grail?  (Of course it doesn't work out well for the guys in the movie.)

I "sorta" understand what you are asking and have Dolphin Turn v10 but AM NOT experienced enough with it yet.  I've done some simple parts with it successfully (Hoo-rah!).  Mine is a converted ORAC & has a front mounted QCTP with 15 QC tools set up in the Mach tool table.  Works great!

Andre from Dolphin can most likely help you.  He checks in @ CNCZone every few days or so.  He certainly helped me!  http://www.cnczone.com/forums/dolphin-cadcam/

Not much activity there but I have learned a few things.  There is a Yahoo group for Dolphin as well.  Good luck & keep posting. ;D

I would never recommend anyone use 066 as it has serious issues, 062 seems fine for me and my machines.
Sure would be a lot less work for yuse guys if "they" would just make 066 go away.  The one or 2 people that just have to have 066 for whatever obscure reason would take a lot less time to help than the hundreds of new users that you poor guys have to advise on the forum to revert back to 062.   It wears me out just reading all the posts where you & the other wonderful experts here repeatedly have to give that same advice.  Sheesh, just sayin'  Give yourselves a break! :)

Oops, I told you I'm still learning.  Sorry, I wish I could help.

Without the S word to tell Mach what spindle speed to run it won't know what the "rev" is in G95 "Feed per rev."  I'm still learning this stuff but that's what jumped out at me about your code.

I suppose it's based on thinking of the lathe like a mill on its side with the head to your left....
Never thought of it that way but that makes sense.  I always thought it was just me & my lack of knowledge.

Also, on the "settings" page for the Wizard it asks for the "Splindle Direction" and the default is set to CW.  My lathe is a converted Myford so the usual spindle direction is CCW, just to verify that I should select "CCW", is that correct?  (For a right-hand thread of course.
Spindle direction is as seen from the opposite end from the chuck, ie: back side of the headstock.  Not sure why, it corn-fused me....but that's real easy to do.:)

The more I think about it, that might work.
I don't really understand the Home Off and Back Off issue that you guys are discussing but can tell you that I use my  home mech. switch/opto sensor combo as the master tool 0 located at X0.  All 14 of my "real" tools are set up referenced from that point and its been working very well.  I use a microswitch to close the circuit to the opto home sensor which is referenced on the edge of a slotted disc on t'other end of the X-axis double shaft stepper motor.  Poor man's servo index pulse like my hero Hood uses.;)  I use the PP and dunno if it works the same with an ESS?

Good to hear you are on the mend :)
Thanks, I'm still pretty weak but getting better every day.  Even making some chips thanks to the ol' ORAC!
