Hopefully he's just hammerin' out a huge pile of parts with his nifty machines or on an extended holiday.  It has been almost 2 months now since he's posted.  Anybody here know for sure?

General Mach Discussion / Re: Lathe CSS again
« on: January 26, 2017, 04:36:16 PM »
I use CSS with IPM feed on aluminum & it's better than with a fixed spindle speed...sorta.  I was parting off some 2" diameter bitchy steel a while back & took the time to figger out the correct feed rates for the decreasing diameters in 1/8" intervals.  I added those feeds into the code manually & the results were better.  Life lesson:  Don't eat the yellow snow or part-off big, bitchy steel on a little lathe.

I'm not smart enough to write an Excel sheet that would do it for me.  Surely that'd be a piece'o cake for one of you 'puter experts?

Thanks, I appreciate it.  I have trouble with some of this stuff; it may as well be sorcery to me.  Thankfully I've learned where the wizards congregate! ;D

Here's a pic of the screenshot jack emailed me with arrows pointing to the boxes that had to be changed.  I'm embarrassed to admit it was so simple but hey, I never claimed to be the sharpest tool in the ATC! ;)

Just a note the thank Rich for notifying me about the other thread with the posts from Alex He, Sales rep.

Alex gave me the XHC tech support email address and Jack responded very quickly to my question with the answer.  It's working great now!:)

Thanks Rich, I just posted in that thread; we'll see if anything happens.  I also emailed him from my work email last week with another question.  Won't know until tomorrow if he answered there.

Hello Alex, I purchased an LHB04 wired pendant recently and am having trouble getting custom macros to work.  The manual instructions are not clear as to how to do this. Please help or give me an email address to someone that can help.

Thank you
