Oops, my bad.  Most Dyna posts I've seen lately were about lathes & I made a wrong assumption.

increase the speed via Mach3 until you get 10,000 rpm  measured spindle speed.
What kind of lathe has a 10000 RPM spindle and what does one turn with it? (!!)

I had the same "problem" with my router and once I started thinking in terms of which way the tool moves in relation to the work, all was good.:)

Make sure & post a pic to let us know how it works for you.

Did you type M3 in the MDI window or click on the spindle button?  You can also press the F5 key if using the standard Mill screenset.  Even though you're not turning the spindle on & off with Mach, it still needs to think you are to display RPM in the DRO.:)

I just googled Mach3 keyboard shortcuts & found a link to the list which I assume is stored somewhere on the forum.   Easy-peasy.

According to what I could find, Alt/R is Cycle Start & Spacebar is pause in the standard mill screen set.  Haven't tried it m'self and I'm at work.  Try it & post back.:)

General Mach Discussion / Re: Denford Micromill convert to Mach

Hi Rex, I converted my MicroMill to Mach3 with a cheap B.O.B and 3 R/C servo connectors.  The Denford top board (with the little L.E.D. display) is removed & discarded.  The 96 pin header on the main board is where you connect to the appropriate step, dir & gnd pins with wires from the B.O.B.  Here's a link to a post over on the Denford forum that got me going.  http://www.denfordata.com/bb/viewtopic.php?f=54&t=2264

Thanks Jim, makes good sense.  If that's it I'm gonna feel pretty stoopid...but I'm used to that.:)
