It's mach4 that get's stuck for some reason if the ESS config is not correct. Just a matter of starting up task mgr and killing the running wxmach I think it was that was still running in the background.

Also wjem switching from MAch4 back to Mach3, make sure that the process has not hung up while quitting. If it does, you will receive an odd error message about the boot loader having a wrong checksum. Once you force the hung process to quit, then it's back to loading correctly. there are still input pins not working as expected. I would not call thus plugin an beta. more like an alpha.

be cautious before you load this mach4 driver. It changed the bootloader signature on the ESS and now the Mach3 driver will not load. So until there is a re-compiled Mach3 driver which I assume Greg will create really soon, I wouldn't be even attempting to use the driver.

General Mach Discussion / Re: Huyanyang VFD plugin
« on: October 19, 2014, 06:46:54 PM »
I'm not using any plugin at all.. I've got a 2.2kw spindle and VFD from ebay, and I have my spindle controlled by my G540 PWM ouput. The relay in the VFD controls my air asissted blast gate and on/off control of my dust collector. Take it one step at a time when configuring your VFD and make sure it's still working before moving on to another setting. One problem I had was that someone in one of the many many posts I had read on this VFD had specified a PD setting that caused the spindle to start  up over 10 minutes or so. This meant I was looking for movement on the spindle and it was not happening only because I didn't wait 10 minutes. Took awhile to figure that one out. Basically 3 wires are really all that are needed. Run and PWM and I guess ground would be nice. I think I have a 5-6 wire cable connected to the VFD for control signals.

Just tried your first script on a Win 7 ultimate install over a Microsoft Remote Desktop connection from my mac.  I couldn't use F11/F10 because they are not passed through to the remote. I used F5 to set q breakpoint on line 7 I believe it was The call to the TestFunc(). Then I used the menu system to single step through the function. Real pain but it stepped all the way through and done.

Compilation successful!
Output: "C:\Mach4Hobby\papa.mcc"
Waiting for client connection...
Client connected ok.

Something really odd at tool change. It stops, waits for cycle start then proceeds to draw a circle -1.00" in Z still processing the tool change and finally goes off todo the rest of the gcode. admittley I'm not setting my tool length. is that circle there for a reason?

Well I re-ran the file again. This time it never stopped until the toolchange. This however showed some odd behaviour. The highlighted line is on the last line of executed movement code. Next line is a M5 and the line after that is the M6 T1.  Tool Change is correctly flashing, but the display is stopped on a line that is not a tool change request.

after running a gcode file with tool changes which seems to stop on occasion when it shouldn't, i closed the Gcode from fileops. The toolpath display cleared all but the last tool change off the display. It should either clear the whole dsplay or none at all. this was with the latest 1767.
