General Mach Discussion / need some help
« on: April 21, 2015, 11:42:11 PM »
I have run into a problem where I have connected up a laptop to the ESS tried running it in M4 and M3 I get the same problem the machines Z axis is out by the same amount after running 1000 Z moves in M4 its out by -.75 mm after each 1000 z moves.
and in M3 its out by -1.45 mm. its the same on each run, I have changed settings slowed things down still get same out by or worse change back to where its -.75 out in M4 and -1.45 in M3. I can`t for the life of me find what the problem is, M4 and M3 seem to be running fine as well as the ESS and the MB06 V2 bob its connected to they are connected to G213V gecko drivers what have the correct current limiting resistors on them, they are tuned by ear.
would using a oscilloscope be a better way of tuning them if so what type of oscilloscope would be the correct to use I know next to nothing about them or how to use them attached is the M3 xml

that's why i ask for screen shot`s that will tall me and art if your setting`s are correct.

the motors need set in Darwin with the same numbers in m4 so motor 0 in Darwin will be motor 0 in m4, but you only set it high or low in Darwin not m4 same goes for the inputs and outputs.

you should only have to set the motion controller once every time you install a new version of m4 and at the same time you remove the sim plugin.

one other thing that help is just restart m4 anytime you make a change sometimes its needed sometimes not but just do it anyway

the ess plugin is the same did a install this morning it was fine

you don't need license to test I have been testing for a long with no license.

the system hang thing is a bug I use to have it`s not there now.

the settings for M3 should be the same for M4 (just put in differently) they are for me.

put up Darwin screen shot`s of water fail, motor setup any motor will do.

a screen shot of axis mapping for M4, general and a screen shot of outputs and inputs you are using

also your machine configuration file or your profile folder

it could well be the bob has packed up they are cheap as *********e bobs with the movement was it with just Darwin running or with M4, with how the water fail looks you can push the pulse rate high
