« on: August 07, 2013, 06:23:27 PM »
will a ethernet smooth stepper controler, make mach3 run better.
i ask this becouse the machine i run runs ok but the computer has a brain fart every now and then, that ever wreaks the what ever is being cut or breaks a cutter.
the machine has g213v and a mb-02v6 break out board running on win xp 32 bit.
im thinking of getting the smooth stepper just need some input allso can a smooth stepper run on win xp 32 bit, when that computer gives up can i just go out an get a win7 pc 64 or 32 bit and just conect it up.

General Mach Discussion / XML, Z axis
« on: March 18, 2013, 05:55:24 PM »
could someone look over my XML see if they can find anything wrong in my config.
solved my z axis problem change all velocity's to be the same on x, y b and z it has made z go from being 2.5 mm out over 1500 z moves to 0.12 out.
also x, y-b are set at 25 steps per mm z is 75 steps per mm x and y-b are very accurate would change pulley size on z so its the same as x, y-b make it better???
any suggestion would be good
