LOL, well reason it wasnt working for me when I tried was because my LED was loose in the connector LOL. I went into Mach and it still didnt work but found the loose leg and now it does
Encoders will not make it closed loop. Mach is open loop. You can get a board from Ron Rogers that will interface with encoders and if steps are lost it will halt motoion but dont think it will correct on the fly. Hood
Did you set up a new profile for the SS, some of the Beta testers had weird probs when they just used the same profile. I never had these problems but maybe I was just lucky Also what revision of plugin are you using? Hood
Not familiar with the mill but from what you describe 425 should be plenty. Just get your steppers from the cheapest place you can find, they will all most likely be made in the same factory in China Hood
Any software newly installed? Can you monitor with a scope and see whats coming out the port? Tried deleting the port in device manager then rebooting so its redetected? If you have a PCI parallel port you could try that insteaad. Could be the power supply but doubt it if its always been connected that way, suppose it could be breaking down and getting noisy.
Doesnt seem to work but I havent read the manual. If you do it from Mach it will work but for Outputs you have to connect to the device in the PoKeys software and choose which pins yu want as outputs and then save to the device. They will then work in Mach. Inputs however dont need to be chosen and saved to the device or atleast they dont for me. As a test install the plugin and then enable it, set the coolant button up as output (whatever you want) in ports and pins Spindle options page then go to OutPuts and set that output to port 10 and pin (whatever you have the laser connected to) then when you press the coolant button or MDI M8 the laser should light.
