 Mach 4 v 4612 , what ever screen set i try to load , Mach4 closes . I have a profile that works and has w4. screen set , if i try to change it to a different screen set , Mach 4 closes , at times i get a debug report screen but it does not send the report . I go to view - load screen set - pick a set from the screens folder in Mach - hit ok and mach 4 closes.

 I have  Mach 4  v 4612 - Gecko 540 - Endurance 10 w laser - ribbon cable from G540 to Smoothstepper Port 1 . I need to connect PWM laser wires to Port 2 connector from laser box and setup , any help would be appreciated.

 If i create a new profile , it does work , but if i try to load into a existing profile , it closes Mach 4.

Have a 4x screen set in my profile now , i want to replace it with a laser screen set i have . When i go to view and hit load screen ,it goes to the screen set folder , click on the set i want and it shuts mach down ?

Share Your GCode / Turn A axis

If i enter G53 A 9000 etc , in the  mdi screen  A axis will turn until it reaches the posted degrees . What i would like to do , is insert it into a gcode file and have it run until the file has finished .

Mach4 General Discussion / Macro or script for A axis

I would like to make a macro or script to put into Mach 4 latest version , to activate my rotary axis and have it turn constant . I want it to act like a lathe , and be able to run a g code file separately while it is turning . I want it to act like the spindle , push a button on the mach 4 screen to start it turning and push button to stop rotation . I can put in the feed rates for A axis , the reason i want it to run constant is , otherwise i would have to change the length or the work piece in the routine . I want to turn table leg profiles .

I found that in the motor tuning , with a new profile created for wrapping , you have to increase the feed rate and accel rate for the A axis and then the A axis will work much fasted. I ran the example file and it cut correctly and much faster, it did not affect the normal feed rate .
