General Mach Discussion / Printer Port Problems
« on: June 03, 2011, 04:09:00 PM »

I had Mach3 running great... Then i decided to switch to a faster Pc because I do alot of design work on the PC that runs my CNC machine... I took some time and transfered all the programs over to the new machine, after I did a complete revamping of the machine.... 1 thing i didnt notice was the new dell MAchine didn't have a parallel port.. Since I never hooked up a printer to this dell I never notice... I know my bad... So I went to best buy and found that you can only order them online.. Long story shortened. I installed my new Parrallel port card into my Dell Pc and everyuthing went fine. No problems finding it or intalling the drives... Problem Is Mach doesn't see it because the Resources it uses now ar CC38-CC3F instead of the older LPT1 At OZ-378...
If I change it in mach to the CC38-CC3F I get no response.. Any Suggestion? Thanks in Advance

Dave

Under Gen Config I have two Input Signal DeBouncing/Noise Rejection box's.. Do I put 500 in both Box's? One Box is the Interval and the other is the Index Debounce... Both are Zero now...

Thanks Dave

well this was my 1st attempt at making a plaque, I had some problems with my new CNC stopping halfway through the code.. Still havent figured this problem out yet.... The design is made out of Corian. I went to the local Cabinet shop and they gave me a sink cut out... The Plaque is 22" X 15" and is 1/2 thick... If you look closely around the  LEY on the Harley word, you will see where I had to cut out a 3"X5" piece and inlay a new piece.... (Because my machine decided to go bonkers on me and lowered the Z and moved across the letters before I could stop it) I think for my very 1st attempt, it's ok.... Also was my 1st inlay... Heck, its my 1st everything.....

Thanks Guys, I'll watch the Status Bar next time I make another run... Never thought to look there, I looked under the operator tab check config for errors...
