Homing seems to act a little different, when i go to home all it does nothing, set z or x does home individual, The  number in the dro also shows a huge difference and should be in inches as set up in my units.
I havent had any problems with mach mill with config been working fine. Im using  Z down in turn -Z or does this change  kept getting a reset limit error and would not let me bypass limits what can be the problems that im having. tried a wizard to have a basepoint and kept saying out of limits boundry something like that.
Are there any good links on this subject or info. Thanks hood

General Mach Discussion / mach turn for mill questions..?
« on: July 25, 2011, 01:55:00 AM »
I am currently trying to make mach turn run on my sx3 mill. Having a bit of trouble since I do not  understanding the axis configuration in mach. Is there i/o that i need to setup differently in the turn ports and pins . A little lost and just need some basics in the lathe and mach turn department. Ive operated a manual plenty of times but never a cnc unit. Any suggestions would be great thanks.

General Mach Discussion / Safe z moves question

I recently purchased the Newfangled wizzards and am having troubles with z moves .
When I post code and get sent to the run program, I press cycle start Z moves off of part to top of z and status replies with a "Safe Z moved Down to  Soft Limit Minimum" , I played with offsets g54 and g55 and still same response, What am I doing wrong??

Hello my name is AL and I'm an elevator technician for about 15 yrs .  I'm somewhat new here, I have been reading many posts from the members and its been quite helpful.
I converted a grizzley g0619 about six months ago and completely love it, But always running into a question that some already encountered.
Im also an engine builder and  also proficient with AutoCad. I have a large background in elecrical, hydraulics and fabrication.I currently using Mach 3 and am enjoying it. I have made a few parts here and there but I know there is so much potential that can be done. I have limited knowledge in cnc but would love to learn the vast knowledge that some of you know. Thank you for having me
