Just remember you have two VFD drives to control. Is there a BOB that controls two spindle VFD drives?

I second rrc1962 on scrapping the axis electronic. The older ones can be hard to find the manuals and wire connections. I would only keep the old if you can find the information on your old drives. At least you need a BOB to interface with new computer.

Check youp backlash. You may have a little more in that area of your table. The extreme would be some pitch error in your lead screw.

How about the Write Wizzard. It will give you one line at a time.

I would change the A axis to allow negative numbers. This would be easier than a global Y axis addition to remove the negative values. I just got my copy of CNC wrapper for my house.

See if you can change the starting angle

If you are using Fixture Offsets (G54 G55 ...) try
G53 Z0.
G53 Y0.
G53 X0.

This sends my machine home and to my manual tool change and part changing position.

EdgeCAM is just programming software. I do not think this is the issue. I would say you are missing steps. I had a the same problem with with a BobCAD program. I had to slow the motor tuning. Slowed the accel and deccel. I even increased the kernal speed.

Sherline mode increases the steps by using half windings in the stepping motors. It is a check box in the set up menu.

There are several threads on probing. Basicly you have two wires going to the G540 from the probe. One is for ground the other is the input. You have to set the ports and pins.

The wizzard sets the limits for the probing area. A point cloud file is created, based on the probing. The G31 command in the manual needs to be read.

Post the Gcode so we can take a peek.

try 1000 to 1500 rpm at 1 ipm peck depth of .100 " safety of .020" for the 3/8 drill
6000rpm at 3ipm peck depth .050" for the 1/16 drill.
I would use the peck drill cycle, but if you have a deep hole cycle,
Al little lard from the Kitchen would give some lube to your bits.

Last option spot the hole and get a cheap drill press to finish the depth

I would go with the Sherline. There are many sites for tilt tables and right angle mounts.

If you need a larger indexer, look for a used HAAS unit. Maybe pricey, but industrial strength.
