The CAM is an easy fix. Keep T6 open.
M6 T6
M00
(load T15 from rack) COMMENT INPUT
S1200 m3
G54 G00 X1 Y1.
G43 H15 Z.2
....
The CAM should allow for Tool number to be inputted. In what I use this will also be the length and cutter com numbers.

needs to be <filename.tap>. The name should be the same as in the sub-call.

What would happen with M47?

The tach, armature, and or other polarities could be wired backwards. Start with one axis at a time. Most of the first runs on an axis is done at a slow motion settings.

Check the limit switches and E-stop are working correctly. Just for safety reasons.

Translation- If the tach or motor is wired backwards, the slide will take off until e-stop or limit switch is tripped. Check the manual for which wires to swap.

half the max speed and accel ans deccel. Refigure the steps per unit also. Maybe recal the x axis

Matchless,
Looks like the control box is a type of smooth stepper contol box. The wiring connectors show a dongle. Do you have the dongle? If not, I would suggest wire cutters and a new contol hardware. You could still use the box for the enclosure.

Look at the DC-04 Digispeed SL+deal. The G540 uses the 10v to control the spindle speed. Check the instructions for manual set up.

As for the transformer, I would not like to guess without more information. Can you use a digital multi meter? Follow the wires to see were they go.

I would say the Gecko G540 is an easy way to go. I use one on my Sherline mill. If I have any issues with my Emco lathe, I will  retrofit it with a G540. Check your steppers for wiring. If the spindle is a 90vdc, a simple board swap will add speed control. You can add a couple of relays for on/off and direction.

See the Yahoo groups for more on the G540.

Absolute could be used when you part drawing has all the center lines given. Most operators I.ve worked with want radius or inc JK. Just what they are use to. I tried it once ans confused the operators.

With no coolent the M07, M08, and M09 commands would be open. This could be use to control the second spindle. The spindle direction outputs could be tied to the enable circuts. Could we use the speed signal for both? The M code for the spindle enable would only allow one two run. A type of relay logic to revent both from coming on?

Just remove on until you get running.
