G-Code, CAD, and CAM discussions / Re: Milling Is Off Center

" I just did a sign with a vcarve border then a .125 offset from the border where it cuts out the sign from the workpiece.."

If your v-carve border did in fact cut properly and the preview in V-Carve looked correct for the cutout then the problem is not with V-Carve or Mach3 it is your machine.

Did you reduce your speed and acc by 50% as Tweakie said?

I had an issue with that when I first got an ESS.
The setup screen for the ESS controls the debounce for the inputs not Mach3.

That is where I would start.

Thread is a little old but mine is still working fine.
What problems are you having?

Then give it a try it may work for your situation.
Mach does allow different settings for the main and slave motors and they do run at different speeds.
don't ask how I know.

A slaved axis would usually mean you have two identical motors with identical gearing to move one axis.  if the settings were not identical the axis would skew and lock up when one side moved slower than the other.

If both motors would run at different speeds big problems.

Will Mach3 run the slaved motor at different settings than the main motor?   Yes but not for very long.

go to this site ftp://machsupport.com/Mach3/ and scowl down to version 062.

Uninstall and delete Mach3 and the folder C:\Mach3 restart computer.

There may be other reasons for this problem but this is where to start.

you can try to uninstall Mach3 and then install Mach3 version 062.
Should work fine

Further clues ? ............... when I go into config I can access all the sub tabs except motor tuning.  Just nothing appears on the screen when i try to access it.

That happened to me once. Save your XML file and reload Mach3.

You may want to change the Active State of the motor pulse output to see if that helps.

yes I had the same problem you are having with version 66.  Version 62 seems to work fine.
