General Mach Discussion / Re: parallel port help
« on: July 23, 2012, 02:24:15 PM »
I want to be able to go directly to the profile when turning the computer on.  Even if you only have one profile and go through the loader (in the Start folder) you still have to hit OK, I'm trying to make it totally automatic.
Thanks for your help,

Hi Hood,
Jumping off topic here a little but you seem to be on top of these type things;
Do you have a simple batch file to bring up a particular configuration when Mach starts automatically from the Start folder?
Thanks,

Thanks Trip, I may end up going that way too.  Another clue, Mach will reset even when the printer cable is not connected.

General Mach Discussion / No Port 1 Activity
« on: July 22, 2012, 01:54:15 PM »
Hello World,
I had to replace the PC that Mach3 was running on, used a clean install of XP Pro and optimized it's settings.  Downloaded the Mach3 program, installed it, did the reboot!  I brought over a complete profile from the previous machine, all looks well, same settings, G code, Macros, just as you'd hope for.  Only problem, the diagnostic page shows absolutely no pin activity on port 1 and there is no axis movement, checked the port address back and forth between Device Manager and Ports and Pins, everything is in sync there.
Any thoughts?  Where to begin?
Thanks for the help!

VB and the development of wizards / Re: Macro won't run in MDI
« on: July 18, 2012, 06:36:57 AM »
Thanks for the reply.  Actually I just tried renaming it to M22 instead if M2 and it ran fine from the MDI.  So there must be some reserved macro numbers, does anyone know if and where this is documented.  Thanks again,

VB and the development of wizards / Macro won't run in MDI
« on: July 16, 2012, 06:08:36 PM »
Hello world,
I've written a new macro that runs just fine from the script editor but won't run from the input in MDI like all the existing other .m1s files do.
Que pasa?
Thanks,

Mach Screens / Re: Fixture Save
« on: May 26, 2012, 09:26:00 AM »
Thanks Gerry,
Do you know what actually drives the message box when shutting down the program?  It isn't a separate screen is it?  And as a secondary question being's you seem to be up on the general configs, what controls the delay at the start of a program, before movement, before spindle activation, begins.
Thanks again,

Mach Screens / Fixture Save
« on: May 26, 2012, 08:15:20 AM »
Hello World,
When exiting the program, if the work offsets have been changed since the last shut down, we are queried, "Save Fixture?".  I would like to add a button that does this any time I want.  Is this a separate function (that I have been unable to find) or is it wired to the Windows Cancel button right in the program.  I assume it is much like function 122 but with an automatic "Yes, save all".  How can I emulate this?
Thanks,
