Does this board only run whit emulated keys?
i tried a input pin -port10 pin1- to for example Z home, when i connect this pin to GND nothing hapens the Z home led does not lid and the window Pokeys data diagnostics don't reflect any change.
if i configure this input in the pokeys board as emulated key then work ok.

If a hall efect sensor would require extensive calibration and be subject to noise (especially magnetic) whi are used in spark ingnition in cars ??
or near coils and magnets in a brushless motor conmutation ??
in this two examples have a lot of electromagnetic disturbances and requiere very precision in trigering.
if this encoder have litle coils in the pik-up whi varies the resistance when aprox. to the magnetic disk??
i`m not enable a discuss on this theme (simply my poor opinion).

this pik-up seems to be equipep whit HALL sensors, the colored wire is positive power suply  the wire has no change resistance when aply magnetic field near is negative and the other two wires are chan A and chan B ouputs.

measure the resistance betwen all wire combinations and tell me.  if one wire has not resistance whit the others  verify this wire continuity whit chassis
i suspect this head has not suply voltage input and need amplification to get logic signals.

hi.
tks. to all lathemans in the forum !!!
OK. Graham the key is in the post indicated  :) i printed this post and put it near the lathe.
now i understand the CSS i was confused betwen G95-G96 gcode G96 firing the CSS led.

tks. for your help Graham.
i tried to put a slotted disk (4 slots) as you said. OK  now the threading have more precision.
anyway the CSS led is not light when i am in G95 mode and when i facing no correction is added to X axe.
in the CSS Dro yes i can see the correction versus X axis position but the X servo stay in the same speed.

hi.
i have problems in my lathe. when i set it in g95 the CSS led never light and the lathe never compensate the feed rate when i up the rpm.
when threading the same ocur i have a litle over rpm  for example when i set to 100rpm i get 127rpm and no compesation is done in the feed rate consecuentliy the thread pitch is minor.
when adjust the rpm via the vfd and i get 100rpm then the pitch is ok whit a litle deviation.
the spindle index pulse is clear and i compared the TRUE DRO whit a profesional tacometer and i found a 2-3 rpm deviation in all range 30 to 2000 of my lathe.
any idea what happend ???
tks. Josep

this is a problem whit your screen resolution
when asked for resolution pop up menu try "custom" an put your actual screen resolution on it.
