Thank you Damon, but I already have the leds on the screen, one for each axis also (led says servo ok or not).
What I am after is to control mach in a way that if any of the leds are off (any drive not in ready state) mach would not allow any movement (jog, mdi, or run file).
Neverless I will take a look on your brains ...

Will mach ver4 have convencional ladder ?

Not so much time, but probably 6 seconds.
The issue is that looking at the state of the drives would 1st prevent jog movements and 2nd inform and stop mach3 (for example during cutting).
Input1 + disable jog, can probably be a solution. Must take a look on it.

--> BTW would the enable signals not be a better way to enable your drives?

sorry, do not undestand this one. What enable signals?

thank you

No PLC here, so must be brains.
Clicking reset makes the charge pump on that outputs signal to enable the drives.

Hello.

My machine uses servo drives that output the ready state. For example at initial power up the drives are still not "ready". During a crash the same will happen and they will be "not ready" again. This works and outputs a led to mach to display on the screen.
My question is how can I prevent the DRO moving if any of the servos are not ready. For example at start up, I press the reset button, then the drives are "booting", during that time if the user presses any jog key, the DRO changes and no movement is done (as the drive is unready). I have check the inibit axis button linked to a brain but appears not to be working.
Any ideia?

I would try to follow if the steps are being delivered to your drive. You can do this using a multimeter. If you send a fast stream of steps (basically if you jog fast) you should be able to see the voltage changing (you will see a medium voltage) in the port pin that you assigned in "ports and pins". If the pins are comming of the parallel port them you must check the hardware after it, if not, it can be Mach configuration or the parallel port hardware.

This can be quite obvious, but do you have jog enable? Does the DRO change when you try to jog?

I have posted this quite some time, without any reply.
There is some place where users send bug reports, where someone is assigned to solve bugs? (this issue is definitely a bug)

If this is not done this way, users do not know if bugs or software features will ever be notice, and can be lost in the forum forever, making the software disappointing for anyone that encounters a bug and needs that to be fixed to work properly with the software. For what I see in the forum it seams that there is Mr Art and Mr Brian that do programming, is this correct? Must someone contact them directly inform about program errors?

Thank you

General Mach Discussion / Re: JOG quality better than code movement

It is the same thing. Having the jog at 100 or 2 precent is equal, the movement is smooth.
Basically JOG is always ok, "controlled movement" is not. Kernel is at 45Khz. I have also posted a error that at this frequency the charge pump also works sometimes, this all in version 50 and 51 - did not try the 52, but the change log does not refer nothing about this so I suppose nothing was done. The lockdown (version 22) is ok, so this cannot be hardware or bad configuration. This is a Mach issue.

Yes, it is the same, but the JOG is always ok.
Running code or MDI input not.

Also not sure if this is the right place to place bugs on testing versions. If not please correct me.
