G-Code, CAD, and CAM discussions / Offset in ralation to actual position
« on: January 25, 2008, 01:39:06 PM »
Hi. This is probably simple to do, but I am difficulty in doing it.

I want to change my currently axis position from an actual value to another in relation to the present value. Some thing like:

Actual position = actual position + 30

I normally use G92 to set a position, and in this case it would be something like

G92 X[x+30]  ???

Thank you

General Mach Discussion / Licence for resellers
« on: January 21, 2008, 08:34:41 AM »
Hi.

I currently have two custom build machines ready for delivery. In both I think I will use Mach3 as the software since I tested them with Mach3 and my clients are happy with (I think).

Since I will not use Mach3 for my one use, and since I will buy more than one license should not resellers have a reselling price ? What is the "normal way" to buy and resell mach ?

I have emailed license@machsupport.com more than two weeks withou a reply.

If someone thinks I want a different price and will use the software for my one, check one of the machines that is ready to deliver in the show and tell machines under "3D Special polyurethane cutter" or my company web page directly to the services page "http://mastor.planetaclix.pt/en/services/services.htm".

Thanks, Filipe

The machines uses an abrasive wire. It passes through the material to cut at 250Km/h.
It have 3 of this wires, one one the exis that is shown on the first picture (horizontal) and the other two on the moving parts that are vertical.

Hi.

This is my newest work, and also the most demanding work that I ever done.

It is a 3 axis machine to cut large blocks of polyurethane with strips of wood. My client will use this machine primary to make surf blanks.
Some facts: around 30 rollers, 7Kw including vacuum pump and cleaner.

It is tested and working fine. We are only doing a cage around all the machine to maintain a safety perimeter.

It was all designed in my workshop, in south Portugal.

I am accepting orders  ;)

Mr zarzul.

The speed is obtained using a potenciometer connected to the variable frequency. I think that is not accurate enough.
I have the lathe in painting, so I can not test anything, but I will ckeck later.

Thank for the info.

Thanks.

I have everthing done, execpt the tread function.
I do not need it for the lathe that I am working on, since it will be making especific parts all without treads.
But I am also working on a larger machine that would be cool to open treads on it (this is probably the most amazing thing that a lathe can do in automatic mode (conic treads !)).

Thank you very much. The index / per revolution seens little to make quality treads (poor information), but since you have done it, it is the right thing.

Hi.

Can you please tell what are the necessary hardware to make threads ?
I have a small lathe almost done, with a frequency inverter to control the spindle speed, and two axis. No problem to move the axis or to control the spindle speed, that I am currently doing manually.
I think that Mach MUST know with precision the position of the spindle. How this is achieved ? With an encoder ? Some special hardware ?

This makes some confusion to me ???. Since you did it, maybe I could achieve my goal more quikly.

Thanks, Filipe

General Mach Discussion / Re: Control jogging speed
« on: October 31, 2007, 11:37:56 AM »
Thanks. I did not tested it, but it is strange, since when I use the direction keys (without the shift) the machine moves very, very fast, probably at full speed. Can this related to the use of milimetric units instead of inches ?

Maybe a bug.

Thanks

General Mach Discussion / Control jogging speed
« on: October 31, 2007, 05:28:59 AM »
Hi.

This is probably very, very simple. I would like to control my jogging speed (keyboard), where (if I can) control this ?
The best would be to have 2 or 3 speeds, like using shift and directions keys to toggle between speeds.

Thanks
