Mach4 General Discussion / Re: Zero All
« on: May 16, 2015, 02:03:27 PM »
I think you'd have to script a button and use rc = mc.mcAxisSetMachinePos(number mInst, number axis, number val) to zero the machine position and rc = mc.mcAxisSetPos(number mInst, number axis, number val) to zero the offset position where val = 0.
Would be nice to have an offset tab like M3.

I think that would go in the unload script, then you load the values again in the load script.

But A, it will hopefully get fixed and work again, and B, will work if I stay with an earlier version and C, I'll get to understand how it work(s/ed).  Up till now I thought anything added had to be tied to one item on a predetermined list of functions.

Thank you! Got to play with that tomorrow!  Also, read the entire topic thread.

Thank you!

There's a keyboard function?

Please excuse my ignorance but I though the keyboard interface only mapped key codes to a limited number of predefined functions.  How do I map a key code to an on screen function?

Mach4 General Discussion / Re: Mach 4 Bug Reports
« on: May 03, 2015, 11:02:45 AM »
Having a problem when switching display units.  Once I enable Mach 4 after start up, I cannot then disable, configure Mach 4 for the other (metric to inch or inch to metric) then re enable Mach and have the displayed units correct.  In other words, when Mach 4 is once enabled, you cannot change the displayed units without restarting Mach.  This is NOT the setup, just the display units.

As a side note, I notice that about 5 seconds after opening the mach configuration screen, the Mach screen behind it repaints.  No changes to the content that I can see.  Maybe a clue?

Sorry, I thought you said they weren't defined yet.  Once they are, you can follow the instructions to access them as you say.

I don't know if you can define them through statements but you can define them by opening up Regfile and adding them.  That's how I'm doing it.

Yes, it is cheap.  My requirements are not as severe as yours and I don't have a plasma setup.  Difference between a hobby setup and an industrial one $$$.   :)
