General Mach Discussion / Moving to a new PC
« on: October 07, 2016, 08:51:22 AM »
I'm installing a new PC on my diy CNC router and of course using Mach3. I don't want to loss any of the settings I have now.
Is there a file in Mack3 that I should copy to the new PC and move all of the old settings?

Finished Plugins for Download / Re: A new Huanyang VFD plugin

Check this one out. I have been using this one since 10/2013 and have not had any problems at all with my VFD and spindle. Far better than the black junk one, it went in the trash.
You will need a cable, it uses the same cable that is on my Dell printer. It has about a 1/4" or 5/16" square plug on one end and USB on the other.

Finished Screens / Re: Mach3 2010 Screenset - Now available

I find that I have to use the text editor and remove the line with the first "M6" from the g-code. Then do the 'double chevron' probe and run the code. If I do not edit out the first "M6" I have the problems you are talking about.

General Mach Discussion / Re: Mach 3 CRASHING Update
« on: December 22, 2013, 07:12:30 PM »
After reinstalling Mach3 hopping to resolve the "Crashing" and error problem. I ran 244230 lines of code and the error message came back as before. This window pops up, "Mach3 CNC Application has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."
After restarting Mach3 and resetting all of the 'Machine Coordinates' and loading the code Mach3 only ran for about 5 minuets and stopped responding. I had to hard start the PC to get out of the program.
I am flat out of ideas as to what the problem is with Mach3 I have been using this diy CNC for over two years and this problem is something new. :'( :'( :'( ???

I can't thank you enough for the help. Mack3 is working. NOW if it will only NOT "crash" I will be happy. At least until the next problem comes up with my CNC. :o  ;)

General Mach Discussion / Mach3 reload Question
« on: December 22, 2013, 09:57:26 AM »
I am having a "crash" problem with Mach3 (see previous post) so I decided to try a reinstall of Mach3. I have everything working but when I load the G Code into Mack3 it will only run just a few lines of the code then stops and the rest of the toolpath window is blank and the 'Black' window is not showing all of the toolpaths. If I look at the 'notepad' editor it shows all of the Gcode. I'm sure I have missed setting something in the program but I can't find the problem. Where might I find the setting to correct this? ??? ??? ???

Go to Config > Ports and Pins and see what it's set at.

It's at 25000Hz
