Marc,

Thank you. That fixed it. All is well.

My appologies for blaming the software update.

This load fixed one thing and broke another. I can now step with the jog function on my pendant. But now the continuous jog mode does not work.

I have the Russian pendant that has a step wheel and jog wheel. The jog wheel worked in the previous load, but now it does not work. Mach 3 reports 'Already in Jogging Mode!!"

Can you have another look at the code to see what might be the issue?

I got it working. I had to reverse the e-stop polarity. Now the step function works on both the pendant and the keyboard. But now the jog does not work on the pendant. Jog works on the keyboard. I'll have to chew on that a bit. I can't think of what would cause that.

Marc,

I loaded the new code and now my mill is immediately resetting. The notes say I may have to change some I/O settings if the unit was on an older release. Is there a table that says what the changes are so I don't have to guess what needs fixing?

Thank you,

I'm having the same problem. I'm using the DSPMC to retrofit an Accurite Millpwr. It works great except for this issue.

I don't have Pokey. I have a PC connected to the DSPMC, which is driving a Servo Dynamics 1525 servo amp.

In step mode, pressing any of the arrow keys will move all three axis the same direction the same amount. It doesn't matter which key I press, they all move the same direction.

Yes, it is R3.043.066

It's running through a DSPMC. That may have something to do with it.

Thanks for the offer Hood. It was operator error. The button had the legacy DoButton code. I switched it to DoOEMButton and it worked.

The home offsett is zero. I don't think it is noise as the behavior is consistent.  I can have the Z anywhere on its travel and have the DRO set to any number. It always moves +.2 and stops.

General Mach Discussion / Ref All Home Moves .2 and stops. Won't go home
« on: December 23, 2013, 05:23:17 PM »

I have Z home enabled. X and Y are disabled. I have soft limits of +/-100,000. The input switch is not active.

I hit the Ref All Home button and the Z axis moves +.200 and stops. The Z DRO resets to whatever the initial value was. That is, if it started at -2.00, it travels .2, stops @-1.8  and resets the DRO to -2.00. No error message.

What am I doing wrong?
