Sorry, I missed you were using the ESS. You will need to set up the spindle control in the ESS config tab.

Cheers,

Peter

Hi,

If you go into the Config outputs tab in Mach3 and set Output 1 to pin 17.

Then go to Spindle setup tab you can set M3 to control output 1. That should turn on the relay connected to G540 output1 terminal then M3 is issues nd turn off when M5 is issued.

Cheers,

Peter

General Mach Discussion / Re: Can't MACH3 execute faster??? Please help

Hi,

My guess is that your motor tuning acceleration values are too low and the axis never gets to the feed rate velocity before it needs to start slowing down.

General Mach Discussion / Re: spindle going the wrong way
« on: September 23, 2013, 05:37:44 PM »
Hi,

If the spindle is rotating the wrong way, you need to swap any two of the three wires connected to the spindle motor.

This a a standard way to reverse the direction of a brushless three phase motor.

Modbus / Re: Serial Modbus to Click C0000dd2 PLC
« on: September 03, 2013, 05:34:09 PM »
Hi,

You are using Mach3's Plugin Modbus interface, so you will need to write a Brain(s) to get Mach items, inputs, outputs, etc, into the buffers you have seutup above.

Have a look at this article I wrote on Mach3 and Modbus.

Hi Chris,

Check the Gcode to see if it is cutting the PCB smaller. If so then it is a problem in Eagle.

General Mach Discussion / Re: A axis as extruder

Hi,

Are you sure that your slicer software can't be configured to output the Gcode to do the retract then then move.

I did notice that the post processor for Slicer can be edited.

Also ask the question on the Mach3 Yahoo group. I few guys there are using Mach3 for 3d printers.

Peter

General Mach Discussion / Re: A axis as extruder

Hi,

The problem is that the Gcode is doing a combined axis move i.e. G1 *********x Yyyy Aaaa
This means that all 3 axes will reach their end point at the same time.

You need to do the A axis move first then the XY move.

G1A aa
G1 *********x Yyyy

Peter

The G203V takes standard Step/Dir signals from Mach3. The A axis (rotary) is driven similar to the standard XYZ linear axes except the movement is specified in degrees rather than inches or mm.

To turn clockwise  increase the angular value i.e. A45 moves the axis to the 45 deg position.

General Mach Discussion / Re: Taig CNC mill Z not working properly

Also,

0.1" cut with a 1/4" endmill is a very big cut for a Taig, expecially if you are plunging at 9"/min.

Try doing the same cut in air and see if you still loose position.

Cheers,

Peter
