General Mach Discussion / Re: Bitsensor LAN controller plug-in
« on: December 28, 2023, 03:16:02 PM »
Also at https://web.archive.org/web/20181213082306/http://bitsensor.com/downloads/paraminjector.zip

Is a file to change the default ethernet address... part of its readme
"The default IP address of the Board is "192.168.8.8", In order to communicate with the Board, you need setup your PC's IP address within the same subnetwork"

You might try the USB motion driver found for a similar board listed here
https://buildyourcnc.com/item/electronicsAndMotors-electronic-component-breakout-Mach3-USB-Board

The dll properties list its filename as 'RnRMotionMini' with a trademark for 'BITSENSOR.COM'

even better maybe, the internet archive

G-Code, CAD, and CAM discussions / Re: doesnt mill the correct size
« on: August 27, 2023, 04:34:35 PM »
Some of the math is skewing the results.

In the hand written code, the 1/8 inch bit is shown having a radius of 1.58
In reality 3.175/2 = 1.5875, or keeping the same precision 1.588
Also the X axis only seems to move 100mm, not the 150 mentioned.

In the generated code, X moves from -73.412 to +73.412 and adding the 2 radii of the bit adds up to 149.999mm
The Y moves from -0.913 to +0.913 adding in the bit again results in 5.001mm

As far as I can tell maybe your machine may need a little more adjustment.  Or measurement of the bit.

Looking at this thread https://www.machsupport.com/forum/index.php?topic=42034.0

Tweakie.CNC says Mach should back off until the switch changes state. and the OP says a reinstall solved the problem.

Someone has created a touch screen screenset for Mach 3, but as far as I can tell the header menu will still remain

General Mach Discussion / Re: Mach 3 suddenly having problems
« on: June 05, 2022, 10:21:07 AM »
"This all started after I forgot to shutdown the computer for a month or so, and then it wouldn't boot up.  Discovered it needed a new CMOS battery.  Worked fine after replacing it, but then I started getting these problems. "

Most likely BIOS settings were reset to default which may cause problems with Mach3, e.g.
Is the PC now looking for non-existent floppy drive, using interrupts to try and use serial port, game port, audio, etc.
Disable power saving modes in BIOS, unused ports, etc.

The Jumper above pin 15 and 5V in the first picture may need to be set to pull-up, i.e. jumper pin 2 to 3

In the Windows Device Manager, try to change the Computer type from ACPI to Standard PC
