A pointcloud is XYZA data?

I had thought that Mach 3 was Visual Basic based, so that maybe it used the same plugin which is popular among VB and RB developers. ....................................... I would like to get an idea from my Mach3 app as to how it is processing the step and direction output registers.
I'm downloading the REV E manual now, I'm persistant I will get it working. I notice that the ET- "Explode Text" does not explode completely. To clean up the text I have been selecting individual letters and using a normal explode to get to the segments that need deleting.
