Sounds like your machine is underpowered for what your trying to do?

What are you cutting? Is this a spiral router bit?

Is everything cut too small. or just circles?

Can you post the .dxf and g-code for a simple circle?

As a guess, since your off by about 2 times the bit diameter, I'd say you're doing something wrong in Cut2D. Sounds like your cutting a pocket? If so, do you have an allowance set?

15" LCD should be fine. At least it is for me. Now if it's a 15" CRT, those are pretty small.

Sounds like maybe your IJ mode is wrong in general config.

AlphaCAM(and almost all CAM programs) can output code in any format for any machine control. The format is determined by the post processor your using. You'll need to create or find a post processor for mach3.

Try this.

If you read the error messages, they tell you what's wrong.

In the first line, mach3 doesn't understand "Start". Put it in the parenthesis and it becomes a comment. Or, just get rid of it.

You have nested comments on a few lines, Mach3 doesn't allow them. You can have (comment)(comment), but not (comment(comment))

You can't have G28 and G0 on the same line.

Not sure if it mattered, but the M6 is usually called before the T03.

Google pstoedit and Ghostscript. They'll allow you to convert .eps file to .dxf

AutoCAD can't load an .eps

A touchscreen just takes the place of a mouse. You shouldn't have to do anything special to use it with a touchscreen.

General Mach Discussion / Re: Mach3 in relation to alphaCam
« on: October 03, 2010, 04:18:02 PM »
Fanuc is the equivalent to Mach3 in your case. Both are machine controls that run g-code.

AlphaCAM is a CAM program that creates the g-code. It doesn't run the machine, the Fanuc control does.

There are inexpensive CAM programs that can do simulations similar to AlphaCAM's. See Vectric's products at www.Vectric.com

General Mach Discussion / Re: Feed Hold

I thought that "No FRO on Que" would get it to pause quickly. Do you have the driver installed on the laptop? In some cases, Mach3 will not act the same without the driver installed.

The reason that it normally pauses slowly is that Mach3 buffers the moves, and when you pause, the buffer has to clear.

One other thing to try is to reduce the lookahead. I think the default is 200. Try 20.
