A USB to parallel adapter will NOT work. If you want to use USB, you'll need to use a Smoothstepper.

So, if you're in the diagnostics screen, and your jogging and hit the switch, the LED will come on , but the machine won't stop?

Honestly, I haven't had more than one person requesting any specific feature. It's always just one person that would like to have something.

Sorry for not being more eloquent, I guess. All I was saying is that used LCD's are available for really cheap.

I'm a little disheartened at your dismissal of any request that isn't immediately relevant to you though.

Because I don't own a widescreen monitor?  

Did you buy the Screen for features that weren't in it? If so, PM me, and I'll refund your money. Where does it say on my site that I'll be adding more features to the screen?

When I released the Screen, I considered it finished, with no plans for further development, as I had already spent a considerable amount of time on it. Adding a single feature can take several hours to several days.

Not sure what specific features you're looking for? Have you contacted me about adding any features?

I'm getting ready to send out a new version, with updates requested by users. None of which I have any use for.

I've filled most of the toolbar with the new features, but I'll add a button for the G Codes. I can't add the M codes, because they are part of the standard screen set.

Home Off sets the position of the home switch to the Home Offset value. It doesn't do any movement.

Z is Page Up/Page Down.
But all the jogging key assignments can be changed using Config menu, Hotkeys.

Sounds like you need to set up your home switches properly in Config > ports and pins, and also in Config > Homing/Limits.

How do you have everything setup?

When you first power everything up, and start mach3, is the Estop LED on the breakout board on, before your initial reset?

My guess is a breakout board or wiring issue, but I've never used a SS or the breakout board you're using.

To add to the .dxf confusion

A .dxf file (depending on version) can contain any 3D entities that can be created in AutoCAD, including solids and surfaces. I import 3D mesh .dxf's into MeshCAM all the time.
The bottom line, is that you need to know exactly what you're CAM program is expecting, and you need to know how to provide what it wants.

Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum. I would like to draw small components in 3D using Google Sketchup to produce dxf files.
How does one upload a .dxf file for use by the router and do you have to manually convert it to G Code.

A better method, if you insist on using Sketchup, is to export an .stl using this plugin.

You can import the .stl into a CAM program like MeshCAM to create g-code for Mach3. www.meshcam.com

You have to be careful with Sketchup to use lots of segments for all your arcs, if you want a smooth model when exported. Otherwise, it can be very faceted.
