BTW, I'm unable to find this info in the manual..

Sorry, I thought it was in there, but it's not. I'll add it when I get a chance.

But it was in the email you got with the files. ;)

No, you shouldn't have to do anything but install it. It'll overwrite the current version, but shouldn't change any of your settings.

You can get 3.42.040 from the FTP site here, in the Mach folder.

Homing is not slave if you have separate switches. I somehow had different homing speeds setup once, and it took me a while to figure out what was going on. ;)

If you want to use one home switch with a slaved axis, there's an option in General Config, "Home Slave with Master", which will slave them during homing.

Thanks John. I have to sleep sometimes. :)

Mark,
As the manual, and my website says, you can't use V3.043.022. There was a bug that was fixed in development version 3.043.028
You need to either go back to 3.42.040, or use the latest development version.

You could probably check the reverse column for one motor, and home both the same direction. Probably several different ways of doing it.

1. All the grounds on your breakout board are most likely tioed together, so it shouldn't matter what ground it. My router is plugged into the same circuit as my PC power supply, and I didn't need to run a ground wire, as the ground from the parallel port is tied into the ground of the circuit, and it works that way. If you're breakout board is isolated, than again, any ground on the board should work.

2. I think it's labeled digitize on the Diagnostics page, but the LED is on every page, upper right, next to the Machine Coordinate DRO's.

3. Reverse column doesn't matter. If you change two wires on your steppers, they'll change direction. If you change the dir active low setting, it'll change direction. So, there are 3 ways to change a motors direction, so the Reverse column depends on the other two scenarios. Basically, don't worry about it.

VB and the development of wizards / Re: Marco gone wild.

I probably should have worded that differently.
I've seen issues when having to estop during a macro, where the machine would no longer home correctly afterwards, just crashing through the home switches, and the macro would no longer run afterwards, until re-booting the PC.
I'm sure this isn't the case all the time. What I'm saying, is that if Mach3 doesn't appear to be acting correctly, then close it and re-booting should clear it up.

DoOemButton 1010 should be
DoOemButton(1010)

I missed that.

When a macro messes up, sometimes it's a good idea to close Mach3 and reboot the PC, as macros may not run correctly again until you do this.

How about this?

Sub Main()
CurrentFeed = GetOemDRO(818) 'Get the current feedrate to return to later
CurrentAbsInc = GetOemLED(48) 'Get the current G90/G91 state
CurrentGmode = GetOemDRO(819) 'Get the current G0/G1 state
PlateThickness = GetUserDRO(1151) 'Z-plate thickness DRO
ProbeDepth = (GetOEMDro(802) - 4 ) ' Probe move to current Z - 4
Code "G54"
Code "G90"

DoButton( 24 )

DoOEMButton (1010)
Sleep (250)

DoButton( 23 )
DoButton( 22 )
DoButton( 25 )

Code "G0 Z-2.75"

While IsMoving()
Wend

Code "G90 G31 Z" & ProbeDepth & " F4" 'probing move, can set the feed rate here

While IsMoving()
Wend

ZProbePos = GetVar(2002) 'get the exact point the probe was hit

Sleep(150)

Code "G90 G0 Z" & ZProbePos 'go back to that point, always a very small amount of overrun
While IsMoving()
Wend

Zoffset = getvar(5223)
Cline = (ZProbePos-3.2395) '-3.2395 Distance between center line of rotary and probe

SetVar(5243,(Cline+PlateThickness))'Set G55 Z
SetVar(5263,(Cline+PlateThickness))'Set G56 Z
SetVar(5283,(Cline+PlateThickness))'Set G57 Z

Code "G91"
Code "G0 Z0.1" 'retract

While IsMoving()
Wend

Code "G55"
Code "G90"
Code "G0 X0 Y0"   'move to start position
While ismoving()
Wend

Message "Z axis is now zeroed for G55, G56, G57" 'puts this message in the status bar

End Sub

There's a 6 axis screen here.
