It appears to me that recent revisions have catered for those that shout the loudest and have not really been for the good of all.

I agree 100%. The fact that a single person can dictate months of changes in the code for problems that only he is experiencing seems ridiculous. Especially when the changes appear to break a lot of the plugins for external motion devices.

With the way it appears now, I'll never use any 3.43 version of Mach3, and I can't confidently buy an external motion device after seeing all the things I've read.

Unfortunately, the end goal of Mach3 doesn't really appear to be a really great, stable machine control for the majority, but rather something that kinda works for everyone, but just not all that well sometimes.

And I can't understand how the current lockdown version hasn't been changed, when it has a serious M6 bug that will freeze the PC. This bug was fixed 28 versions (and 9 months) ago, but people are forced to use buggy development versions or older versions.
Shouldn't the lockdown version be the most stable, and not the other way around?

 Is your velocity slider maxed out in motor tuning? If not, then kernel speed isn't your problem. What is your steps/unit set at? That's the only setting that may require a higher kernel speed to go faster.

Also, many PC's are not capable of using kernel speeds faster than 45Khz, and it's usually not recommended to use higher kernel speeds, as the PC can become unstable.

It doesn't sound like the kernel speed is the issue, but if it is, A smoothsteper or Kflop would help/

I can run my router with a 250oz stepper and 24V at 200ipm using 25Khz.

What was limiting your speed to 135ipm with the old PC?

Generally, the only reason your PC will limit your speed is if it can't run at a high enough kernel speed. So if you were''t running at the maximum velocity for whatever kernel speed you were using, a new PC won't go any faster.

Say you were running as fast as you could at 25Khz kernel speed, but the PC wasn't capable of running at 35Khz kernel speed. IN that case, if the new PC could run at 35Khz kernel, then it might be able to go faster.

Generally, it's the motors torque that limits your speed. Not usually the PC.

If you have corners anywhere in your engraving, the machine will have to decelerate and accelerate. The best thing you can do is play with the CV settings to get it as smooth as possible.

Sounds like you need to increase your acceleration rate.

There is no "End Program" message when the 500 line limit is reached. It sounds like that message is in the  end of your g-code.

Are there any other errors?

Can you post the g-code?
