You need to do it exactly how I said. Whatever you want the button/led combintation to look like, needs to be in an LED image. You then need to place an Image button, and the image must be a blank, transparent .png, placed over the top of the LED. THis is the only way to get a button over an LED and have it work correctly. If you can upload your button and led images, I can probably make a sample to show you how to do it.

General Mach Discussion / Re: Will this work?

With an external motion device, like a Smoothstepper.

It was supposed to be done about 2 years ago, and Brian's been saying a beta is coming very soon for the last 6 months.

You need to tell us exactly what you're doing, and exactly what the problem is.
"I cannot even get this to work" is difficult to troubleshoot.

The LED needs to use the image you want for the button, and the button should use an empty transparent .png file. You can use a 10x10 pixel .png, and size it the same size as the LED. Place the LED first, followed by the transparent button.

I don't believe there's any way to ad sound to a button click.

No, the vast majority of existing bugs in Mach3 will not be fixed.
I believe that due to te way that Mach3 was built, with feature added on top of feature added on top of feature, that it is too complex to fix most of the existing bugs.
While I agree with you 100%, that all Mach3 bugs should have been fixed, it's just apparently not possible, or for some reason, not worth the effort.

As far as building mach4 on a solid foundation. I believe that's what they're doing. But they're not using Mach3, it's an entirely new foundation, with the goal of not ending up like Mach3. Any bug in Mach4 should be much easier to fix, so we shouldn't end up in the boat we're in today. Unfortunately, Mach4 is about 5 years in the making, and has been "coming soon" for about the last 3 years. Hopefully, it will be worth the wait.

You should also have a reset button and LED, to make sure the system is not in estop.

General Mach Discussion / Re: Using the B axis for my 4th axis?
« on: September 03, 2013, 10:30:55 AM »
All you need to do is change the pin#'s in Mach3 so that your original A axis is assigned to the B axis, and in Config>Slaving, slave the B axis to the Y. Yopu shouldn't have had to change any wiring at all.

What do you mean by diameter offset? If you're talking about the diameter wear value, it is NOT used in comp.

Helping and having someone do the whole project for you are two different things.

As a guess, the chances of someone on this forum having g-code to make the parts you want is about .001%

In order to get the g-code, you need to start with the 3D models. Since you don't have them, someone would need to create them. I seriously doubt anyone here would have them.

If you're not supplying the 3D models, and they're not freely available, then what your asking for is not trivial.
Finding g-codes for molds of anything would be very rare. Anyone creating 3D models of molds would probably be unlikely to share them, as they would involve a lot of time and effort. And what your asking for are very specialized items, making them even more rare.

When you want to do stuff that nobody else is doing, it's going to take a lot of effort on your part.
I would highly recommend learning g-code, as it makes troubleshooting and fine tuning your machine much easier.
But for what you want to do, you don't really need to know g-code at all. You need to learn how to use a 3D CAD and modelling program, and an appropriate CAM program to create the g-code form the models you create.

Have you checked the Sketchup 3D warehouse? (I think that's what it's called).
If not, try googling for 3D models of the parts you want.
As it's highly unlikely that you'll find models of actual molds, the easiest method might be to cast a mold off the actual machined part. Creating a mold from a 3D model takes specific skills that a lot of people just don't have.
