VB and the development of wizards / Re: Tool Setting Script

The Big Tex auto zero does a lot more than what you want, but it does do the double probe, so you can see how it's done.

http://www.cnczone.com/forums/mach_wizards_macros_addons/100594-mach_3_tool_setter_big-tex_version.html

For you're second question, it depends on what you actually mean. If you're talking about the actual Z offset on the Offset page, then no. The Z offset is the difference between Z zero in Machine Coordinates and the top of your workpiece.

If you just want the Z axis DRO to read 1.25 after zeroing, it should automatically, because that's the position where it will be. You can't force a DRO to display an arbitrary number.

Or, you may be talking about something else completely, because I don't know what DRO would display the height of the sensor, as you said?

Mach Screens / Re: OEM button code

There is no Ref All OEM button. You'll need to use VB code in a button to Ref All. See how the default buttons do it.

Mach3 won't move off a limit switch. You need to do that manually.

General Mach Discussion / Re: Mike Beck vs Xylotex
« on: September 18, 2013, 07:42:24 AM »
I have a Xylotex powering my 30x45 router. It works well once I added dampers to the motors. Had the G540 been available back then, I would have puchased one.

THe G540 is only $65 more than a 4 axis Xylotex, and is far superior in performance. Well worth the money imo.

You should be seeing the same results on the X pin, so it would appear that the card may be faulty. If you're checking at the cable, you should check at the port to make sure the cable isn't the issue.
Also, it appears that you have a 3.3V parallel port. While some drives will work with 3.3V, some require 5V for proper operation.

Do the test again using the keyboard jog keys (arrows).

On the direction pin, you should see 5V in one direction, and 0V in the other direction. Because you're not getting 5V, it's not changing direction.
The DIR pin is the only one you need to check (pin2)
I'd also check the dir pins for the Y and Z axis and see what you get there. If those work, than you may have a faulty port.

You can measure it at the end of the parallel cable from the PC, or the actual parallel port on the PC. You want to measue the X DIR pin. With Mach3 running, you need to measure the pin while jogging in both directions.

General Mach Discussion / Re: How to enter license?
« on: September 15, 2013, 08:48:34 AM »
The license is a file that you just copy into the Mach3 folder. There is no code to enter. As soon as you copy the file, you're current installation will be licensed when you restart Mach3.

Instead, what do I receive?

I get a whole world full of negativity...
I get told to do it myself....

I think  you're being overly sensitive.

One, I didn't just say "Do it yourself". I explained that it was very unlikely that you would find what you're looking for, as it's a complex project, unlikely to have been done by anyone, and if it was, I doubt anyone would share what they had.
I offered honest advise. If you want to make molds for your parts, you're going to have to do them yourself. No one is going to make them for you for free. I don't know what other help anyone can offer you. If you need a step by step tutorial on 3D modeling and moldmaking, this is not the place your going to find it.

And Terry was just pointing out that selling toys MAY be a violation of copyrights. Just because someone is selling them on Ebay, doesn't mean they're doing it legally.

All I see is that people are offering you help and advice, and your complaining about it.

Tell me, if noone here has what your looking for, as I pointed out (and you complained about), what other help would you like people to give you? Do you want me to spend hours Googling because you're to lazy too? Or do you want me to model your parts because you don't want to learn how to do it yourself?

If the Reset button is flashing, try toggling the Active low setting for the Estop. If it's not flashing, then your port address may be wrong.
