You need to learn how tool length offsets work.

If your code is applying an offset with G43, you need to make sure that the offset is already in effect when you zero the Z axis.
I think that most people that use G43, use a reference tool and zero that to the workpiece. All other tool lengths are based on the difference between them and the reference tool.

metric to inches scaling issues will have you off by a factor of 25x.

First. go to Config menu, and select "Select Native Units".
If it's not mm, then change it to mm, and close and restart mach3.

Next, go to the setting page and see if it's in inches or mm's.

If it's in inches, go to the MDO page, and hit the "enter" key on the keyboard, and then type "G21", and hit enter again.

Then close and restart Mach3.

Then jog the machine and see if it's moving the correct amount. If not, your steps/unit are wrong.

Make sure that you're using a metric post from Sheetcam, and that there is no G20 in your g-code.

You need to go back to the default screen if you need to use the axis calibration. It's not included in the 2010 Screenset.
Changing between screens should have no effect on anything, but it's a good idea to close and restart mach3 and time you change any settings.

I bought my license last August, so I already have. And that's what I said last year, but today, imo, it's not much closer now than it was then.

It really doesn't matter what format the images are, because Mach3 won't let you swap out images on controls.

I think you can do it in Mach4, though.

Mach4 has an integrated screen designer. You can create/modify your screens from within Mach4.

When you install Mach4, it does install some documentation on Lua calls.
There are also some documents posted here in the forum, a lot of them by PoppaBear.
Right now the forum is the best manual for customizing Mach4.

Note that the scripting manuals for Mach3 were written by users, not Artsoft.
