What do you mean by Locked  The down signal should not lock the machine up  . Do you mean the reset button will not reset ??

You have something not configured correctly . Start over and double check every one thing at a time. DO NOT assume anything, double check it all.

The THC should ONLY be active when it is turned on from the M3 and turned off from the M5

I would completely disconnect the THC and get the machine working, it will run just fine without a THC .  Then when you have it all running correctly then hook it back up and tune it in.

Sounds like you have conflicting pin assignments Double check your Mach3 config settings.

It could be a bad wire,bad switch,noise OR a currupt XML file.   Check your Switch circuit in mach3, Press the switch and see IF the proper LED lights up on the diagnostics page. IF it does it it not teh circuit .  IF the light is already lit then it may be the XML file. Reload your  good XML backup file. You do have one right??

It also could be a bad PIN on the board or teh supply cable.


IF it is neither of those then look for noise.

There IS a door safety circuit in Mach3 that stops the Gcode from running when activated. BUT that does not resolve you of the responsibility to provide the correct dead man system to protect the operator.

Normally you would have a manual tool load button and a manual advance carousel button that advances the carousel 1 position

The manual tool load sequence is different than an auto tool change sequence But all the position values are the same so they could be just hard coded into the script.

You would also have  Grip and Release buttons  to manual run the drawbar.


Your code to move is wrong    Code"G53G0Z" & MyDroVal   will work.

And remember you are moving in Machine coords just make sure you know where that is going to move to.

Here is an example of a simple loop and counter function   each time the loop runs it looks at teh OemTrigger and the Lcnt1 value Then increases the loop count by 1. adjust the timeout value to get the time you want.

With a Pokeys ethernet unit you should have all the inputs you need as long as it is NOT fast I/0 that you need.  They have a plugin ready to go.

What you are describing IS full blown kinematics (;-) Mach3 cannot process that as world point motion . BUT IF you have a CAM that you can make understand your machine kinematics then "IT" can create Gcode for you to use.  The CAM can translate the joint geometry needed to move as an XYZ machine in a vertical plane.  Mach3 can run 6 axis  rotary/linear motions . It just does NOT understand kinematics motion.

Formulas will ONLY get you basic coordinated motions not kinematic motion  and it is only all or NONE type motion. You cannot pick and chose as needed.

LCNC CAN do what you need.
