Davew did you only use the first part of the range  CC38 . Mach does not have a problem with the odd addresses as long as it is correct. It is just looking for a port.

Now if your LPT cad is a USB based card you are out of luck.

Look on your old MB and you may find a port that you can plug a ribbon cable to to provide the LPT port.

That little problem has been around for a long time(;-) Same as failing to run an M3 on occasion. SOme computers have the problem some don't. I always thought it was a problem in the way MACH handles threading of the various codes.

BUT who knows ?

HUM seems MachCB has a problem with FOCUS. It can't send to an application that does not have focus AND if you are in VB then only mach has focus (catch22)

SO Ian had a solution as it is::

SendKeys works just fine - but remember that sendKeys targets the application that has focus. If you're running sendKeys from the VB editor in Mach or from a button, then Mach has the focus... so it's sending keystrokes to itself.

Enter this into the VB editor in Mach.

sleep 10000
sendKeys("abc")

before you run it, open a copy of notepad. Then run the script - you then have 10 seconds to give notepad focus. Personally I dislike SendKeys, it can have nasty effects if you focus the wrong app.

that is not your answer(;-) IF your axis are moving the corrct  distance,  then it is a setup problem OR Gcode problem

Are you in diameter mode or radius mode DID you setup on the part diameter and set it correctly

Take a look at the work Dave Decaussin has doon with the R8 spindles and an ATC with claw release. He uses a modified version the cat30 holder.

G73 Peck drilling in increments to break chips

G81 Straight drilling

G83 Deep Hole Peck drilling, Drill retracts out of the hole each peck to clear chips
