IF your mechanism is sound I would develope a software solution to run it as it is. I believe it has already been done, need to do some searching.

SOunds like that might be a problem in the AJAX plugin side as the feature works here OK and you see the FAST jog light come on.

Check with AJAX for support problems

First is pulley 2 for low range?? IF so you must check reverse on a Bridgport.

The ratio is just to correct the RPM reading IF you have an index signal on the spindle

SO far Mach has never shreaded any  code here (;-)

SET the slow jog percentage to 50%.

jog with keys motion is 50% of full rapid
Hold downSHIFT and press keys motion is 100% rapid speed
release SHIFT key and it goes back to slow jog when you press the key again

Has anyone put together a new manual on dros leds buttons commands yet ?? I know we have the XLS version on some of these.

Maybe combine the VB manual with the OEM stuff into one. ?

Any Manual writers out there needing something to do? (;-)

Mach does not have a good serial protocol if any at all . It was never developed as most hobbiest would never use it.

That would be easy to do Just use a Gcode# variable to store the homed bit value.

SetVar(300,0) would be UNhomed , The default is 0 when mach starts up.
Setvar(300,1) would be HOMED.

That way as long as MACH is running the values are held. and when you close down mach the values are not stored.

Then at the begging of the macro ask

IF GetVar(300) =0 then end the script

else continue.

OK  Lets see, IF each fixture is unique in location G55 G56 G57 etc AND the fixture is called by the program file G55 G56 G57 etc HOW could it go wrong.

The only way I can see it going wrong is the Operator uses the WRONG fixture number and that is impossible to guard against. You could create a macro the REMIND the OP that the Operation requires the use of TAG styleXX and  fixture #xx (based on what the current fixture # is) and IF he sees it does not match he can abort the operation and start over. It could even be made to acces a page that had the VISUAL picture of the fixture and required tag.
