Mach is capable of doing what you see "BUT" no one has programmed a plugin to do a scan like this. Art started a version to do it BUT retired before it was debugged.

I would say that Stirlings Crawler method for probing would stand a chance or could be modified to do the job.

YOu would set the spindle on and off to 2 output pins. Then wire the pins to the VFD inputs that control on /off. Use a 3rd IF you require forward reverse.

I have an Excel spreadsheet I am working with and I need to work with 262 cells. I need to start at O and at each cell increase the value by .004267176 up to total number of cells.

 DOES ANYONE have a clue as to how to use a formula to do this?

Yes I agree on Daves version it was around the time that VB multi threading was added in. I think his version is single threaded by the way it acts under CB load. That would explain a LOT.

Even on other versions I think the EDS will be better than sendserial.As I understand it it waits in the background for the end of line responce to receive and is always ready to send.

IF coupled to a brain it may reduce the total CB load to do the LCD updates.

It can ALSO run  with serial Modbus running.  

It should really HELP the older machines that had a serial based tool changer and may also be very helpfull to design a NEW serial based tool changer

IF you have the angle just go to the MDI page and input the angle into the LOCAL SYSTEM ROTATED dro. That will automatically rotate the system for you. IF You first go to the rotation point and then mach will rotated it aound that point .

To undue the rotation just input ZERO into the DRO.

Gcode wise you use the G68 code. You can rotate the system around the current point G68 R45 OR you can rotate the system from a KNOWN point G68 X1 Y1 R45.

Makesure there are NO duplicate XMLs "anywhere" in the mach directories. I have seen where mach can pick up the wrong version of the xml. Some OS will store duplicates of the same file in a directory.

You can do it a bunch of different ways just depends on what YOU want. It can be done from a macro or a lot of people use a large protractor to get the angle off the table. Some use best guess(;-) to make it fit.
