General Mach Discussion / Re: Another Wacky Mach3 Behavior....
« on: November 05, 2011, 11:47:15 AM »
Ray try loading a backup XML(not the auto version). What I find is that the XML can become corrupt and those values are hidding out there in OZ (machXML) and mach is locked into using them as phantom numbers.

I can send you a routine to run through all the Paramters 1-20,000 and then you can look for those values hidden in the matrix. IF you can find where those values are hiding it may be a clue for brian.

Run the routine and then you have a TXT file of all the values in OZ.

VB and the development of wizards / Re: Actual position when i hit pause.
« on: November 04, 2011, 04:29:43 PM »
There is not a way to do that BUT you can get really close.  The capture code will be just a Squeek before the actual pause process starts.

You have to modify the Pause button to allow CB code. It depends on where you want to store the variables Xpos Ypos. This example stores the Xpos and Ypos tand Zpos to #vars 1000 and 1001and 1002. And the current line number to #var 1003

SetVar(1000,GetDro(0))
SetVar(1001,GetDro(1))
SetVar(1002,GetDro(2))
SetVar(1003,GetDro(16))
DoButton(1)
While Ismoving()
Wend
Code"G91"
Code" G0 Z.250"
Code"G90"
Code" G0 X#1000 Y#1001 Z#1002"
Code" SetDro(16,GetVar(1003))

Hope that helps, (;-) TP

THe G84 works very well as is.  I use it with the G95 to make thread feedrates very easy. NOW you do have to use a floating tapp holder.

m3 s100 m8
G95
G84 Z-.5 R.1 F[1/20]         ( Done this way all you do is place the TPI in where the 20 is)
G80
G94

You can use/call a SUB from a remote dir. It does NOT have to be in the Gcode program file (;-). You can also add in the #vars at the same time as the call. Just place the sub in the SUB directory

M98"Tapfile.nc" #1=********* #2=********* #3=*********

Just a thought, (;-) TP

Ray are you using a canned cycle or a macro or a sub?

Now just so there is no confusion I run the others on the darkside to prove the hardware is sound. It is a directect plugin and play for me to switch back and forth between them as both are running LPT version.

I believe it has something to do with the G92 problem running TC or Subs.  Mach looses track of the Base Corrds in XY.

I always keep a EYE out for the storm waters that may cause it. That is the reason for an ODD question sometimes when somone brings up a problem they see(;-).

HIYA HOOD, Not the problem here as well. I monitor the Machine coords.  I think it is something in the way we use the Macros and Offsets and Subs that triggers the perfect storm. (;-).

I don't think it is SS specific the resetting of offsets is part of the main problem EVEN with a LPT version.

I rareley see it with the plasma machine BUT it is a very simple 2d process(;-). All the other machines were converted over to the dark side and they NEVER act up, NEVER(;-)
