Feature Requests / Re: CV bad behaviour need improvement

So you are saying that at a certain point MACH3 just STOPS following the axis tuning as far as Vel /Accel ??? I don't think so(;-) IF it did you could not make a part as the axis would be lost in 2d space.

You can MAKE the servo tuning TOO tight and get what you are describing. You can also tune Mach3 with too much accel for the velocity and get what you are describing.

Mach3 uses a bang bang planner (trapazoidal ramps)  Get the Accelleration too high and it is like running into a wall to stop. (;-)

It is still ramping but the ramp form is almost vertical which can easliy SHAKE the machine. CV can ONLY do so much to correct it. Most times it is as simple as rewriting the Gcode Micro segmented code is bad for smooth operation and the faster you go the longer the bad segments can be.

Been there done that , (;-) TP

The MachMsg is a special CB call just for Mach3. I don't beleive you have any screen placement options. It is what it is.

2nd thought have yopu tried applying any of the dialog control options to the MachMsg call? Ya never know(;-)

I have found the wait states depends on YOUR computor and OS.  Just my opinion BUT it rings true over all the testing I have done.

A safe assumption is to put a wait state after every GROUP of Gcode and after every read or write from CB.

But in the end you still adjust it to fit your machine.

Just a thought, (;-)

Sounds to me yo have found the max speed that your machine can run smoothly.

IF MAch3 were NOT deaccelerating you more than likely would have tripped the servos due to servo error.

SO IF the servos can keep up then you are at the rigidity limit of the machine.  I would suggest you retune the servos for the conditions. The servos tune seperately from MACH3. You should be able to soften the servo tuning to help.

In the real world you tune the servos to the MACHINE capabilities.

WElcome to the world of MACH3 macros and Gcode. Yes you have to use wait states to control the flow of the macro if NOT you will see the code skip and jump over other code and get completely out of sync at times.

As you have found it is BEST to use the macro to generate the proper "Gcode" for MAch3 to use and that part works very well.

Other wise you will have herky jerky machine control trying use a CB and Gcode hybrid type of code as CB and Gcode do not always play well together in MACH3.

Just a thought, (;-) TP

SIMPLE reduce the total number of NODES before you export it to a dxf. All the drawing Programs seem to have that funtion.

AH that part of toolcomp and SUBs is broken.

If you want it to work you would need to program the subs WITHOUT ToolComp. Then it will run OK.

BUT NOT with tool comp active beyond the first nested loop.

AND it is NOT going to be fixed in MAch3, Before you ask.(;-)

VB and the development of wizards / Re: FRO incremental step value
« on: April 01, 2012, 07:57:24 PM »
HIYA Gerry Not that simple I am afraid it hads to interface with the CandCNC stuff. IF the INCvalue dro actually did what it said it would be fine.

I was just wondering IF anyone else has ever gotten it to work. IT seems the step value of the FRO is locked to 10% per step.

NOT a big deal at 20IPM but it is at 200IPM (;-).

VB and the development of wizards / FRO incremental step value
« on: April 01, 2012, 01:59:42 PM »
HI ALL, I am working on a FRO routine for plasma. HAS anyone ever gotten OEMDRO(98) (FRO inc value) to actually change the INC value of the FRO???

It is listed in all the docs AND all the screen writers BUT it does not seem to work here.

Any Ideas ? , (;-) TP

Are you using tool comp in any of your files??  Can you post an example of a complete program that fails?
