Sage just a suggestion but it is never a good idea to MOVE the machine once MAch3 has loaded the Gcode. Mach3 is a buffered system and loads the buffer on program load. WHEN you change the coords after the load strange things can happen in weird places.

ALSO is the machine cutting this error or just drawing it on the screen?  I have seen many times that MACH3 draws in error but cuts exactly.

Well it really is a combination of things that make it all work.

You MUST tell Sheet Cam via the post how much the Z needs to lift once the Zhome trips. Then when that happens MACH3 moves to the defined height to start.

ONCE the arc starts THEN the DTHC takes over the Z and tells mach3 where to go based on arc voltage.

Are you using the G28.1 method OR the G31 method of homing the Z??

What does the first 20 or so lines of Gcode look like

There is NOT a specific function in MACH3 but you can create the function look in the downloads section under the MACH Tool BOx and you will find 2 examples of a WORKLOG function. One with tools changes and one without.

Tweeaks I thing you are safe with that .  What IS the over travel amount of the design before you hit the limits switch ?

With Mach3 you are safe with about anything between 1-1000. As to which to use it is YOUR choice what is your favorite number(;-).

Mach3 has never been mapped out as to actual #var definitions. There is some useage in the upper bands for fixture offsets but very little else that I am aware of.

AND the max vars = 32767 so far as I know.

NOW to add something to think about the amount of over travel of the probe will depend on your accelleration settings. SOME systems have very slow Accel and need lots of room to stop. HOW much overtravel does the machine normally have. Do you have enough overtravel in the probe design (before it hits the overtravel limits ??  IF not on fast probing you may trip the OTlimit.
