HIYA SCott no offense here, (;-) I was trying not to step on your toes. You have to make a living at this I do not. I respect all those trying to make a living THESE DAYS(;-) TIMES are tough out there.

AS Scott mentioned WHEN you have to drop back inside Mach3 CB do do the job you are better off going the PLC route as MACH CB is the pitts when trying to make Macros do motion control AND keep them synced together.  YES it can be done in mach CB BUT there is no garrantee that it is trustworthy(;-)

SCOTT I thought I sent you a copy a while back ?  BUT then looking at it all I have is the screenset for it. I can convert it over to a Wizard for you or can send the screenset??  YOUR choice (;-)  Maybe something there that can be of help for you down the road. AND once again you are welcome to anything that I may have on hand or can create for yous guys. I have more to add to the MACH TOOL BOX when I get time.

I was thinking creating a MASTER WIZARD that could use all the current wizards to use for conversational programing to create an entire program BUT that may step on Brian's toes with the NFWs. 

Scott please let me know what form or both? that you want the grinder stuff in.

The "end" statement  in a CB macro has nothing to do with the  G code side of mach3.

Please post an example of how you think it applies.

You are trying to mix motion control in both CB and Gcode. It does not mix well. IF you want to stop then use the feedhold stop method as the M0 routine may or may not do anything in that situation.

Russ IF Scott can do what you need please go with him.   IF not then I will help you as much as needed.

I am retired and do not want to compete with people making a living from screenwork, programming,  etc.

I help anyone or small shops with CNC stuff but do NOT compete for business.  It would not be fair.

NOW no one that I know has EVER turned on the spindle with a probe in it (;-)  That darn thing was like a weedeater on steroids AND no one wanted to go over and turn it off I had to shut off the breaker to the spindle drive (;-).

You need to move your macro OUT of the M1-100 range. Mach sees it as an internal macro and cannot find it.

Something along these lines will work. The #2000 Var is set for testing ONLY. Please Note that the probe STOPPED axis dro position will never be the same as the trip position(#2000) so it is best to use the trip position to compare. Also note that IF you did not calibrate the probe then the trip position is NOT the same as the actual touch point. it will be OFF by the switch travel to trip value.

But you are not creating a protected move as in the real world you do NOT know what the actual value of the move should be you just probe in a direction with overrun to make sure you get to the intended target.

A protected move would be during a  G00 move and the probe HIT something THEN you want the motion to stop.

What you are doing is a Compare to know values +/- .

Post your macro code.

OK just a fair warning. Mach3 cannot split the Z moves between the 2 axis UNLESS you can get a post to modify a CAM program to do it and i have never heard of it happening so far.

Yes you can use the Knee axis to do the tool comp but so far that is the best I have seen happen. 

So you can drive the Knee as Z or drive the quill as Z but not both at the same time.

There is no protected move mode in MACH3. AND in its current state I don't think you can create it in CB macros.

First you would need to be able to SEE when you were in G0 mode and then create a macropump or brain to stop when in G0 mode AND the Probe LED goes active.
