The latest Dev ver is working ok .067.

press Feedhold wait until it stops motion

DO what ever you need to do .

Press cycle start and it pop up the return reference box with details on how it will return to the restart point. THEN move to the restart point and YOU press cycle start again to continue.

NOT that I am aware of.    Just don't jog before the drives are on line.  EVen if you did not a problem as at that point MACh3 does not know where it is at anyway. You would have to Refhome  to regain position anyway.

Looks to me you have switches that are not detented switches and are experiencing contact bounce when the switch goes to reclose.

IF you get contact bounce even for a millisec MACH will stop as it should and the switch remakes and shows the led as on. BUT the home cycle was completed at the first sign of the switch remaking on the bounce.

That explains WHY mach3 continues ON with the X and Y routine and completes the cycle.

OR that lime peel on your head is causing you to see things ?  I normal use a hat made of tin foil and a copper grnd strap dragging on the ground. It kills off all the static.

IF you are going to move any axis after Feedhold you need to

Feedhold , until motion stops.

Stop

Do what every you need to do

Run From Here , the line you stopped on

CYcle Start  ,  Resume cutting

Another option would be to build a macropump to monitor the inpouts and act on which one is pressed.

You would use calls like Loadrun() to load a start the gcode program as an auto function.

Try exploding the text before you save as DXF.  Native text in Acad is not in vectored format. Exploding it converts it to vector.

A filled area means NOTHING  in CNC or Cam  . Do you mean you want a single stroke font for engraving or enclosed font to create 3d letters?

Start out by drawing at 1:1 in Acad then everything else will be to scale.
