Mach3 already has Probe Tip comp (X/Y).  Z is not required.

I think I have already done a 4th axis 3d routine. That is a simple one.

I have a simple creepy crawler Macro routine that is similar to the LinuxCNC SmartProbe Routine that I am testing but it is 3dsurface only macro. AND there is no assurance it will be stable as a  mach3 macro.

Stirling is the ONE that may provide the Complete 3d probing solution.  Probing Outside of Gcode in MACH3 is not easy to master. There be Dragons to contend with in Mach3 CB.

File conversion from inside MACH3 is WELL outside the scope of simple Wizards.  (;-) THere are already solutions for that available. It may be possible to create a wizard that gives you the OPTION to process the Points file into a STL using The Mach points converter. Then the final product would be a simple STL

NOW one problem with developement IS Mach3V4 will be totally different macro wise than Mach3. NOTHING macro wise should interchange.

I am just cleaning out some old macros and creating Wizards so they can still be used and be available THEN I will file 13 all the old stuff.

That warning implies that you did NOT apply any operations to the Part in SheetCam so there will be nothing to cut.

CNC is a 3 part process, the hard part is you have to learn all 3 at the same time to get any work done.

THese are probing routines for 2.5d / mechanical work.

Stirling is working on a new improved version of the creepy crawler type 3d digitizing routine.

There are programs that already do all the rest(;-)

I think the controller would need a dual planner. I cannot see how a CAM could pull it off with a single planner.

IF you wanted slow zones you can use a rotary actuater with a drawbar link. As the rotary arm rotates from retracted to extended position the link geometry SLOWS the tool arm to a stop as the arm reaches Max+ and Max- travel. No jerks at the extents of travel.
