##### G-Code, CAD, and CAM discussions / Re: MachIII GCode Leadin questions
« on: April 22, 2013, 12:06:50 PM »
The leadin is JUST a move that leads in to or out of a contour to allow Mach3 to adjust the offset before cutting the contour. It does NOT have a type or designation it is just a move such as G01, G02/3.

##### VB and the development of wizards / Re: Macro Linear move help
« on: April 21, 2013, 07:31:25 PM »
It is doing exactly what you told it to do

Z3 X2 is an interpolated move it moves both at the same time and they BOTH arrive at the destination at the same time.

Z3
X2
This would be to move Z3 first then X2

Your macro will move nowhere as it does not have a valid motion code
Code"G0Z#"  is not a valid motion code you would have to use the variable with it and the variable would need to be assigned a value

Code" #1 =3"   assigns #1 to a value of 3
Code"G0Z#1"   Is a valid motion Code

I take it you want the flame to turn on and off by sensing whether mach is in G1/G2 mode or G0 mode.

Mach3 was never designed to be used that way . It follows standard Gcode convention that uses M3/M5 to turn ON/OFF the torch. How would you set pierce dwell that way in the gcode ??

That just tells you that you have the option turned on NOT if it is actually in use.

For example in a Gcode program you used M01 and it is active and the machine is paused, waiting on a Cycle start to resume.

##### Mach Screens / Re: fusioncnc "fanic' screen info needed
« on: April 18, 2013, 12:07:02 PM »
I have worked on a lot of screensets in the past that mimicked other controllers. It was very usefull to those that were switching over to Mach3 to have a familar screen to work from.

There are MANY retired/retiring machinist out there that grew up Fanuc.
