The extension has nothing to do with IF Mach3 will run the code all it needs is a text version of the Gcode. The extension letters can be anything.

You just need the proper POST for the cam to output the proper Gcodes for mach3.

The multipass wizard COULD be adapted to turn. Brian would have to do it or give permission to access the code as the wizard is locked as to code modifications.

In general you can't, Mach3 is a gcode machine controller not a universal motion controller/data aquisition device. The data you are asking for is IN the gcode file.

HIYA BOB it is a probing routine. You go to a start point of an object then run the array. It probes the int or ext profile of the part and stores the points in a points file for use to create a cutting solution for that object.

The array always has a focal point where the machine probes to. You can tune the array by where you place the focal point at.

If you read the manual it will give you a good idea as to what it is all about.

The array RUNS as a mach3 Gcode file so there is NO macro problems to deal with.

No you cannot do it LIKE they do it as MAch3 cannot sync an axis to an encoder under gcode control.  I only see 2 axis, the cutting axis and the traveling axis.

It could be done but will NOT be as efficent or as smooth as what you showed as an example. Also the motion will have to be programmed as Gcode.

Sorry I guess I never copied them over to the MachTool Box. They are in a zip file which contains the arrays (int and Ext) and the support MACRO and the user's manual.

It amazes me as to the huge supply of quality products that HAVE documentation that people whine and cry about costing too much or instructions written in detail that they don't understand BUT the DIYer will NOT spend the money OR the time require to learn HOW to put it together in working fashion. They then BUT the cheap stuff , can't make it work, THEN get on a forum and look for FREE help then complain because no one wants to help them, Mainly because they have junk to work with and most FREE HELPERS on here KNOWS THAT.

Please don't complain when you want to PAY for chopped liver ALL the while wanting Prime Rib. You either have to BUY the PR already cooked OR learn to cut and cook it yourself.
