 As a serial interface you cannot run it with Mach3. You would have to dive into the controll wiring and figure out HOW the drives interact with the controller.

Then you need to pick a NEW controller that runs in Mach3  and wire IT to your existing drivers PLUS add in all the I/O such as limits and home switches and ANY OTHER functions that are used such as spindle speed/on/off Vaccume or coolant, etc.

Warning IF you are not well versed in control wiring it may be best left alone. An old WORKING machine is always better than a BETTER NEW Controls machine that is broken and does not work.

NOW IF you get it all working control wise be AWARE that your OLD g code programs MAY NOT run in mach3 and you will have to reprogram ALL the old programs into Mach3 GCODE.

You are looking for the XML file. The name should be the profile you are running under and the ext is .XML. it is stored in the mach3 directory.

What you need to calculate for is the torque required to accellerate the mass at the level you require. It is an inertial calculation.

OK the subs for circular pockets and Square Pockets are done. Both are programmable as to size and depth AND conv or climb milling. The square is also rotatable.

Working on the tapping sub now.

Does anyone have a procees they we need to make into a SUB. These can be called from inside a gcode program OR called from the MDI by the use of a SubLoader Mcode

That would seem to indicate the drivers did not install correctly. THere should be one for each port

Delete the drivers and then restart Windows and see IF it loads up correctly.

First you install the driver via the cards install program. Then you install the PCI card. At that point the drivers should auto load.

Then go to the device manager and look up the installed addresses for each port.  Place that info in mach3 and away you go.

At teh beginning of the Gcode file you should see a M40 line. Is it there. When you start the Gcode does it ASK for a file name ? Does a freshly created Points file have the correct date / time assigned to it?

The process works here I just tested it.
