HIYA DAVE , The first thing YOU have to decide is WHAT TYPE of machine you want to build and exactly what do you expect out of it .

Do you want a router type, a table mill, a knee mill , gantry mill   etc etc .  Don't worry about anything else until you get that decided  .

YEP Hood has it right. Your language set may not support teh decimal mark .It may use a comma.

I anm afaraid I am not following what you want. Are you wanting to cut a single Concave half elipse slot in Y using Z to control depth of the slot ? Kinda like a halfmoon keyway.

Other controllers allow you to Probe the surface and create a matrix(table) for the controller to use to adjust the Z on the fly to match the surface profile of teh PCB or surface.

How are you to keep teh 2 synced if you reset teh A to zero each time ? You could STOP the A at a 360deg division point then use G92 A0 to reset to zero.

You do know that you CAN link teh A axis to teh X axis in motion so that when you move X it will rotate A at what ever ration of Rev per unit you require. I do this this with turn using a step direction servo spindle for threading. When the 2 are linked when you move Z it rotates C at the programmed thread pitch. Perfect guaged thread every time.  The Z/C will never get out of sync until you release it and teh C goes back to being a spindle again.

You cannot use teh on screen led to trouble shoot teh signal at speed as teh refresh rate of teh LEds is SLOW compared to teh signal sampling.

IF you are getting a stable RPM reading that responds to RPM changes  then the Signal is working.

It is because it is using a Fanuc Post not a mach3 post ??  Micro segmented code IS normal for 3d machining it is the nature of the beast to be able to carve great detail and surface features. It is just some controllers handle it better than others. Being able to use very high accel rates in Z helps it run faster as well. A slow Z slows down the entire process.

OK that tells me that the logic is not working IF the sleep is controlling the wait.

When your driller signals back that it is done does the led for input1 turn ON or turn OFF ?

In config for the input signal (inpout1) is it set for active high or active low. Can you show a picture of your setup in ports pins .

Also please post exactly what you have for teh M901 script. It works fine here when I test it.  We just need to get teh logic correct on your end.

HIYA ART , You do know you just contradicted you r own advise to only run as high a kernal speed as you need to make the speed you are running (;-).

Now they are going to try as high as a kernal speed as they can get teh PC to run (;-)
