Well it said it ran on Mach3 (;-) So it probably is just a matter of figuring out teh Ports and pins for everything. MORE than likey a simple LPT version.

Too Many bugs in the higher gcode functions for me to even consider using Mach3 on a VMC for commercial use. Also no conditional Gcode or MacroB support.  Macros can be very quircky at times.

This will ONLY work if you have properly referenced your machine so it know exactly where it is. AND you have properly setup Softlimits as the Max table distances it can Move +/-.

GetOemDro(151) will retreive teh Y softMax distance of the table. So then you simply compare the calculated Move value that you have to the Ysoftmax value. If teh move exceeds  the YsoftMax Value then it is an Error.

I don't think you can use teh M31 and teh DIg Wizard as the Wizard writes teh Gcode and IT has no idea what a M31 is. Also teh M31 runs with Parameters to program its function. Agin teh Dig Wizard has no idea on how to do that.

If I may make a comment when you write gcode as an example it is always best to define teh values in teh normal format and order.  Yes it is OLD school AND some controller can ONLY take a certain format but it does read  much better in my opinion.

Now teh controller will load in Line elements in the order it was programmed to do so to IT order does not mean much But for reading purposes it makes it more clear.

You articles are very good by the way. And will be very helpful to new users.

G02 X0.000 Y0.000 I0.000 J0.000  F123

Instead of

G2 X0 Y0 I0 J0 F123

So what would yall think about a new Ethernet controller than can do Rigid tapping(mill)  AND encoder threading(Turn) in MACH3

AND it would not BREAK teh bank(;-)

Would it be something you would want

And yes it appears it CAN be done in Mach3.

IF it is a G31 problem with teh Csmio the you really need to look to CS-Labs for teh answer as teh Csmio has to handle the G31 function not Mach3 and that part would be done in teh plugin OR teh COntroller firmware.

From what I understand about teh problem IF you break teh arcs down to segmented line that represent teh arc THEN it works OK.  That would mean NO arcs used in teh code.  But that mode ios normal for a lot of Cams as they put out line in lue of arcs.
