Newfangled Mill Wizard / Tracing function
« on: July 14, 2013, 06:49:24 PM »
Hiya ROn, HOW about a tracing function for the new WIZ.  Yall have the plugin for Jcode.

Would be a nice addition to the WIZ.

Pocketing with a boss would also be nice.

Just a thought, (;-) TP

Newfangled Mill Wizard / Latest Version notes
« on: May 24, 2013, 03:38:30 PM »
Hiya Ron, Good job on the latest version. Just a couple of notes after a quick review.

On the tool strategy in the Gcode it ends with a M8 (coolant on) ??

Good Job on the Gcode Window. NOW if you could add in a Multistep function for it it would be about perfect. Let me explain. I have a part to build and I have the blueprint with all the numbers. The WIZ can handle most of it and with the new ADD Gcode option it is much better.

IF we had a multistep option for the ADD Gcode I could then program in the ODD contours for the outside profile of the part. The number are in the print so that part is easy BUT having to repeat the code for each stepdown makes it time consuming.

Does anyone have a large 3d cut file I can use for testing a DRY RUN simulator. The larger the better. The more complex the better.

AND a 4th axis cut file ?

Thanks(:-)TP

MACH TOOL BOX / Conversational Gcode Wizard
« on: March 25, 2013, 04:35:40 PM »
Guys Here is a wizard that allows you to create a Gcode program Directly in MACH3 using Gcode Commands. As you add line by line the tool path updates and shows you your move. You can add or delete line by line as you go.

It can create your header/safety block for you and will CLOSE OUT the program and allow you to NAME your program and save.

It also allows YOU to go OFFLINE with MACH3 so there is NO machine movement by accident. When you return to mach3 it put MACh3 back online in case you forget.

You can also dry run you program onscreen (Mach3 OFFLINE) so you can test the program for errors or OOPS.

Let me know if there is trouble or things you may need to add. I will give it a shot.

Just UNZIP the file into your ADDONS directory.

General Mach Discussion / New type Mach3 conversational PAGE
« on: March 24, 2013, 02:56:57 PM »
OK I have been playing again. Sence the New Mach3 Wizard is OUT and running I thought that the Gcode programmers out there needed a function for creating Gcode programs from the command line approach.

From this page you can create a Gcode program directly into Mach3 and VIEW the toolpath  ONSCREEN  as you add to the File.

(button) Create the header and safety block for the file and loaded into MACH3 so it is veiwed on the toolpath.

(button) add Gcode commands to the file and update the program and toolpath for each line.

(Button) Complete the file and assign a FIlename and reload into MAch3.

I can be done as a new PAGE or a WIZARD.
