I assume you have set the Z 0 (zero) as the top of the component. If so your program will run at the top of the component as you don't have a Z minus value in the program stack.
Insert a line immediately after the line that sends the tool to Z 0 with another line of programming telling it to cut into the material
for example
G01 (feed) Z- **(what depth you want) then a feed rate F** (the feed your using for cutting)

Be careful as CNC machines are very unforgiving if you put the wrong values in.

Hi cant open that file, can you save it from the MACH editor as a text file then we can run it on our Mach system to look for errors.

Cold be several things, maybe you have not set the pins for the Z axis, does it move when you jog it?  Have you a Z code in the program to lower the tool into the material eg G00 Z-1 which is rapid down of or G01 Z-1 F20 for feed down. The simulation shows if you are following the path and if you look on the side of the simulation you will see the Z axis move into the material, if it does your program is correct. Can I suggest you post the program list for members to look at as it could be something very simple you are missing.

Have you introduced a new piece of electrical equipment near to your machine. I had a faulty strip light that gave electrical noise that caused strange signal to the computer via the BOB. You could try increasing the de-bounce to 200 in the general config pull down menu that might help if it is electronic noise that's causing the problem.

One last check to confirm if you cut an internal square or circle then an external square or circle just cutting on one edge do you get the same size errors. if the inner one is smaller and the outer on bigger its tool deflection. If they are both the same size its your step settings or backlash.

if your getting a small ridge its got to be tool deflection. If your a hobbyist machinist and time is not a problem always do a finishing cut. as the tool wears over a period of time your deflection will increase hence the finished component size reduction. Some of us if we want to maintain a size on a batch of components have a finishing tool which does very little cutting so can be relied on to keep its size.  Just for reference I'm talking about cutting metal but the same applies for wood on a reduced scale

I suspect its tool deflection especially as your movement check without cuts is correct. Have you tried re-cutting the original machined hole with the same program to see if it takes off more material and corrects the dimensions. When doing a circle the machine constantly changes direction in two axis with no pause hence different pressures on the Z axis spindle. That's why I usually do a finishing cut of say 0.5mm to give me a perfect circle as hobbyist machines are not that ridged as production machines.

What are you using to jog, Keyboard, mouse, hot keys or a pendant? Being as all other Mach movement are ok it could be down to your method of activating the jog mode. This could be you problem

Copied and pasted your motor numbers in ebay and came across another CNC'er loosing steps with these motors it appears his problem was mechanical, have a look at his thread although he doesn't say he has solved the problem
