General Mach Discussion / Spindle and Vac System
« on: January 16, 2011, 06:07:47 PM »
I have a little problem, and I cannot figure out how to fix it.  I have my relays hooked up, and my spindle and my vac system will only come on when I hit the flood and mist buttons.  I know there is a way to change them to start and stop automatically when I hit the go button, but I can't seem to get it right.  Any help on this would be appreciated.

Thanks

David

General Mach Discussion / Geckp 540 and Solid State Relay
« on: July 16, 2010, 11:22:08 PM »
Good Evening Everybody.

I have been searching the boards for a good 3 hours trying to figure out how to wire and configure this realay and finally had to ask for help.

I have a gecko 540 and a Fotek SSR-25 DA Solid State Relay.  48 VDC Input and 24-380V VAC Output.  I have connected the - side of the relay to the Gecko on Pin 5 of the main terminal board, and the + side to the 48VDC + Terminal.  I have wires coming from the VAC side to an electrical outlet.   If anybody could please help me get mach 3 setup in Mach3, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks

David

General Mach Discussion / Mach 3 Slave Axis problems.
« on: February 18, 2010, 05:39:08 PM »
First of all I just wanted to say hello to everybody.  This is my 1st post on the forum and sadly it has to be a problem.

I have a gecko g540 running 4 stepper motors.  I need to slave the A stepper to the X stepper to drive the dual Rack and Pinion gears.  Here is what I have ch3eck3ed so foar.

1.  Downloaded the Gecko G540.xml from the geckodrive website.
2.  Checked to make sure that the motor was enabled in ports and pins.
3.  Set the slave options under the config menu to slave a to X
4.  Unchecked the Rotational checkbox for A axis in general config.
5.  Tested the motors on X axis and they all test good.
6.  Checked the home slave checkbox.

I still can not get the A stepper to move.  If anyone would have any insight into my problem I would really appreciate it.  I am attaching my xml file for review.\\videos
